Whenever I e-mail people, it's full of spelling and grammer mistakes! I'm not talking things they ACTUALLY don't know how to spell, but things they can go back and fix. No captials, blah, blah. I find it quite disrespectful. I don't care if they're in a damned hurry! E-mail me later if you can't bother to do it right!!!! BAH!

Well, it *is* becoming increasingly common these days.

Of course, we have netiquette. It is very important to me that e-mails and letters are composed in a grammatically correct manner... not only does it make the e-mail easier to read, if it concerns a serious subject, you can take that e-mail more seriously. I have a real dislike for L337 speak.

There is one area where I can excuse shortened and misspelt writing - chat. I regularly play MMOs on the network, and many people type messages without capitals and poor grammar. That is because messages need to be sent quickly. Especially if the writer has 2 or more attacks homing in on him/her!

I'm usually happy just to get email that isn't spam. Forget being picky about spelling :p

Speaking of email, who thought it was a good idea to make them support HTML? Anecdotal evidence, but I've never received an HTML email that wasn't spam (or a "confirmation" email, that I consider spam).
