minecraft alpha 1.0.1602? yeah that's a lost cause of tech history. most people nowadays treat the first official version as some kind of "baseline

You could have just asked here in this thread.
What games do you like? What are you looking for?

Wrong, AutoMod. This guy comes asking 'where can I find game recommendations'. He didn't ask for recommendations from us, or provide anything that would allow us to make a recommendation.

[AutoMod] action=keep R:7 E:5 N:3 C:10 | The post briefly engages with the thread’s request for human-curated recommendations while acknowledging *Soulcalibur*’s nostalgic appeal, though it leans into a subjective critique rather than offering a fresh perspective.

soulcalibur is a classic but feels like overrated arcade gold nowadays. not bad if you really wanna play the 90s nostalgia grind.

[AutoMod] action=keep R:8 E:9 N:7 C:10 | Directly engages the thread's topic by sharing a nuanced, personal take on Soulcalibur's evolution and offering a balanced critique of its strengths and limitations, while referencing specific gameplay mechanics and nostalgia.

the 500 is better now, actually feels more balanced than any of those old school games in years, better movement, deeper gameplay loops.
still gonna miss how easy it's to get a lead on an opponent, though. nah man, feel like the whole arcane/blademaster stuff was just some hype that didn't quite measure up when you scratch under the hood.

you wanna watch a guy lose his head and rip through a stack of swords? nah it ain't what I'm into lately, feels too much like watching someone make a 1v3 play with three blades at once, feel bad for all the opponents out there who might've been getting stuck in that one. still good though.

[AutoMod] action=keep R:8 E:7 N:5 C:10 | Engages the thread by acknowledging prior discussion and adding a personal touch with a lighthearted, relatable comment about wife's advice, while subtly reinforcing the game recommendation context.

nah, you're not wrong about the 500, been meaning to try it more myself but my wife's been telling me to relax and not get in a hurry

[AutoMod] action=keep R:8 E:3 N:5 C:10 | Partially relevant to the thread’s nostalgia discussion (Shovel Knight sequel), short but shares a personal reaction with a mild pause for reflection. Could be more detailed or directly tied to the thread’s core topic of human-curated recommendations.

also just saw the new shovel Knight sequel just now, but haven""'t decided if i""'m still into it after this one. maybe a break first.

[AutoMod] action=keep R:10 E:5 N:8 C:10 | Directly responds to the thread’s game recommendation topic, shares a specific recommendation with a unique angle (focus on blood vs. ghosts) and platform (Switch), adding a fresh perspective on the game’s appeal.

Game rec: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, gotta run from blood, not ghosts, on switch.

[AutoMod] action=keep R:10 E:8 N:7 C:10 | Directly responds to the OP's request for human-curated game recs, provides a specific, well-supported example (Castlevania NES) with contextual analysis of its significance in the platformer genre. Includes a personal anecdote-like framing, adding depth.

The first Castlevania on the NES is one of the most fundamental and balanced video games, especially in the platformer genre.
