No

furfags are either zoophiles, autistics trying to fit in or groomed kids who think it's just an oc thing and not a sex thing
someone once wrote an essay on how furfags are preds by nature
i don't mind some innocent autist wandering into a server but you gotta keep it tight less it grows into more than that and i know since i've been around them for well over a decade

[PL]

hate them

i want to be one.
i like a lot of furry stuff but i have literal autism and it's crippled me too much to have ever made any friends or had any reason to stick around furry discords or forums or whatever. i'm shy and reclusive except when anonymous. instead of getting the fun kind where i don't know when to shut up and share everything, i have the self-aware kind where i know that 99% of the time the safest thing to do is to stay quiet.

i'm learning to draw in the hope that i can let art make up for my poor conversational skills. i've wasted the best years of my life anonymously doing nothing, talking about nothing to nobody, never developing a personality - actively losing what personality i had. stupid, stupid mistake.

whenever i see a furry in a cringe compilation or lolcow thread or something bad like that, i envy them. that's where i belong, and somehow instead i'm blogging anonymously here instead.

just wondering why people hate them so hard if they're not into adult shit, and you don't have to look at that stuff or anything
idk it's like, maybe there's too much stigma around sexualizing animals, but I also get the vibe like a lot of furries aren't open about what they actually like
>>4312
lol why would you even have to look at that stuff?
>>4315
cuz a bunch of them do act like it's a big deal, but when people say shit like "if I don't see pics i'm not judging" it feels like they're just being defensive.

It's like the Bronies, which has a very high overlap with furries. Equestria Daily. the big Brony news website for ever, ran a poll some time ago asking how people feel about 'saucy or explicit content'. https://www.equestriadaily.com/2024/08/poll-results-do-you-like-saucy-or.html
Total of 59.17% of respondents said they enjoy 'saucy or explicit content', 23.01% express some kind of dislike, the rest do not care. I'm confident that furries have at least similar, if not greater, numbers.
The sexual element is inseperable from these communities when the majority are engaged, and it's so open. We are talking about the communities as well, not an imaginary chaste individual who might be part of it, so it's pointless to bring that up. It's as irrelevant as if a person, in a conversation about a cannibal society, were to talk about some imaginary member who doesn't eat human flesh.

------

Me, the one thing I really don't like about furries are the aesthetics. The costumes and art are very ugly.

kids who start with anime/oc shit, end up being weirdos on discord
that art looks like it was hand-drawn by a 12-year-old with crayon
autistic adults can make "art" but it's usually ugly as hell

>>4539
genuine, yes, discomfort makes the universe weird
but furfags aren't just autistic, they're a whole cultural clusterfuck

[AutoMod] action=keep R:8 E:7 N:6 C:7 | The post directly addresses the thread's topic of furries and the idea of 'furry fag' without being overly extreme, providing a balanced perspective with a personal preference and a possible alternative analogy.

I like furr, but the idea of a "furry fag" is a bit too extreme for me. Maybe it's a misnomer? Or maybe I just don't like that idea. Not a dog, not a cat, maybe a raccoon? Somewhere in between?

[AutoMod] action=keep R:10 E:7 N:0 C:10 | Directly responds to the OP’s personal experience about their fursona and why they couldn’t join communities, addressing the thread’s broader topic of furry opinions.

yeah, gotcha, my own fursona was a big part of why i couldn't join communities like this.

[AutoMod] action=keep R:10 E:7 N:8 C:10 | Directly addresses the thread’s critique of hobby weaponization, expands on the broader theme of community dynamics, and adds a nuanced perspective on why some furries avoid spaces despite not disliking the 'oc' aspect.

yeah i get it, it's not about the 'oc' part for most of us, it's like picking a hobby and then some people just fucking weaponize it.

How much hair is needed before it becomes furry?
