deeply appreciate it <3
New site released. Things may or may not be broken. Let us know if you see something that is.

genuine concern about this site's html

what is this?

why can the sidebar break tables like this? i click a link or refresh a page and this fucking thing makes the page content small as FUCK

i don't care if it's quirky or something, it's fucking obnoxious. keep the random quotes in their little box instead of letting them fuck up the site
better yet redesign this entire fucking thing. i saw this thread
>>52528
and i think four.com looks sexy. cyberix should have a faux-futuristic 2000s look rather than "black background and white text and hyperlinks web 1.0" look

When was the last time you saw site HTML break without JS? I think it contributes to the site's overall soul.

As the other anon said
>i don't care if it's quirky or something, it's fucking obnoxious

There is no reason your HTML should break. Ever.

Another point, CSS is supposed to render a site EASIER to read. I have to inject the following to make it usable (I would rather keep some color, but I can't since everything is hardcoded like it's 1999). Most of it just reverts to firefox's default look, or changes retarded color choices.

<pre>
body {
background: white;
color: black;
}
tr {
background: white !important;
}
tr span:not(.greentext) {
color: black !important;
}
.greentext {
color: #280;
}
pre {
background: white;
border: solid 1px black;
}

a:link { color: #0000ee; }
a:visited { color: #551a8b; }
a:link:active, a:visited:active { color: #ff0000; }

font { color: #c00; }
font { color: #0c0; }

table:not(),
table:not() td {
/ Firefox's default borders look terrible /
border: solid 1px black;
}
</pre></code></span></span>

Fuck that.

Instead of bitching about how bad this site is coded, how about we focus on how we can modify any website we're looking at using greasemonkey or tampermonkey scripts. I say, learn to change sites on the fly yourself. Its YOUR browser anyway, why are you complaining that its not doing what YOU want just because you dont know how to tell your computer what to do. To be clear, i am being a complete punk ass who has no fucking clue how to do that either, but id like to learn.

Cyberix is my life. I check this place every day. Fixing these things would make a huge difference in how I view this site. I'm always seeing little things being changed and I've only been here for about two months. Looking forward to this being fixed but I also hope that it'll somehow be able to retain its excellent compatibility with 30 year old browsers just for bragging rights.

So, instead of bitching, how about writing some CSS and submitting it as a theme for Cyberix?
The white-on-black is hard to read, I agree, so selected the light theme.

That went well.
I'd love to fix this because I believe this is overlooked.

For OP's problem:

.sidebar-cell {
width: 160px;
max-width: 160px;
}
