New site released. Things may or may not be broken. Let us know if you see something that is.

I think people should just accept that forums are dead

Forums have not been the majority for a long time. So many people are creating discussion boards of all kinds and expect lots of activity on a day-to-day basis (this site suffers from that too) but are deeply disappointed when nothing comes because they don't realize that everyone else is content with social media.

Look at Twitter for example and you'll even find fucking privacy schizos using Twitter... why? Edward Snowden uses Twitter which is based in America.... why????????

We are simply a small minority, and we should not expect regular people to be remotely aware of what a forum is outside of the comments section under a video they just watched.

So it seems.
If the majority of internet users find themselves content with consuming content on websites like X, Instagram, Reddit, and Facebook, then so be it. We need not their input.
If they cry about Internet centralization while wasting away on social media, let them have their impotent rage.
If this website is doomed to a hundred active users, I'd be content with that. I'm not a stranger to small forums.
I think we need to be content with that too. Everyone who should be here will find their way here. One way or another. :)

>forums are dead

>this place exists

>we're on it

>talking about how forums are dead

Think again. As long as people are here, it'll never be dead.

forums are dead

long live forums

yes, forums are dead, lets everyone leave the corporate forum sites and go to the smallest of corner forums and discuss where we go from here

so, where do we go from here?

Forums may be "dead" in the conventional sense, but I think they're still relevant if they're still around. Since forums are now passe I've noticed that some of the forums I frequent are much more shitpost free than any of the other social media sites. I'm not seeing bullshit AI slop boomers fall for or have to chat with narcissistic schizos who just shit up the place.

From my point of view forums are definitely "dead" for normies, but those of us who are actually technically inclined, I think it's a chance to have some real conversation.

Thats the thing, because these forums aren't popular it means that you have a hard time finding them (more effort searching) which filters out a lot of low effort posters

@52609
Yes, Edward Snowden uses Twitter. Even with the fact that Jack "asshole Pedo protector" Dorseybergawitz being gone from the company as well as other people, Elon "half-wit" Musk isn't much better. I suspect that he may be at least partially Jewish/Hebe (no, the fact that he raised his right hand as a friendly during a gesture to Zion Donald Trump doesn't make him a "Nazi", that's Bullshit from MSNBC, CNN Vox, and many bottom IQ-level twittards dumblrites and other soyboys and NPC drones. Those fuckers don't know or barely know what they are talking about, like the groupthink fuckwads they are. Oh, and USA does have its share of vile and shady bullshit that its pulled throughout history, no argument from me on that. However, if you want to see quasi, or full-on police states, look at North Korea, Kosher Red China (complete with a deep social credit system that pressures its citizens to stay in line, Belarus, Venezuala, Cuba since Castro and his goons took over, Myanmar, Afghanistan under Taliban rule (the latter of which literally cut off internet access! Fucking closed societies with closed minds for sure.
