Surely some of you do it, so let's all share secrets. I'll start:
I do PC repair. The jobs are not sustainable, but having some cash for a case of beer is worth the work. I bill myself at $25 for a virus/spyware removal service that takes me all of an hour and uses free software.
Keep track of what you do, so you can stick it on your resume if you ever need to get 9-5 job. Doing your own thing and making a buck at it looks better than a fast food job.
Unfortunately I need a 9-5 job to pay the bills. I took my PC repair job and BS'ed the hell out of it on my resume. At the very least it shows and employer I have been doing something for the past 8 months since I gradated from engineering school. The best case is I get the job because of the customer service and troubleshooting skills I have.
