Tomorrow, I will be working on moving the majority of Cyberix's files off of the host OS and onto a separate drive that'll be accessed by it.
Benefits of doing this:
1 - I can raise the file upload limits for both anonymous and registered users
2 - ^ the same thing but on our XMPP instance
3 - I don't have to worry about what's eating a gigabyte of space on the server's 10 gigabyte host drive (3.97 gigs are being taken as we speak)
4 - Should be easier for me to back everything up
There aren't really many short-term instant effects to doing this. I'm just doing this to ensure the longevity and functionality of Cyberix remains stable and smooth.
If all goes well, I might post the site's overall structure and setup here for others to benefit from when they decide to self host their own stuff.
