Please do not encourage or participate in avatarfaggotry and personalityfaggotry. In addition to it being annoying, it defeats the purpose of anonymity. I don't mean the opsec kind of anonymity. Instead, I think it is important for casual online communication to be impersonal and anonymous on both sides. This means people won't hold grudges, cause personal dramas, or act in pure self interest. Without an online self to attach selfish actions to, there's far less motivation for negative contribution. Look at the development from chronic avatarfagging to herculean CP spam of Leto on 4chan. It is simple attention whoring. You have to be willing to leave behind your ego when posting on anonymous online boards. Anyone interested in keeping these parts of the internet alive should act accordingly. I promise you, your personality is not interesting enough to justify advertising yourself on anonymous boards.
This post was inspired by the person posting that one picture of some woman. I have nothing against them personally, and the last sentence of the previous paragraph was not directed at them, but at some random people on /g/.

here's a little fact about avatars and profile:
In older versions of cyberix you used to actually have a profile that included:
- Your mail
- Your profile picture
- Your favorite quote
- and a slew of other stuff I remember troll made his profile pure eye pain with neon colors (I think this was one of the reasons profiles were removed)
when I asked the admin about it he said that he didn't want this forum to be like Myspace

I think this was a change for the better

I also have a small cyberix archive (Which I made because every time the forum updated it looked drastically different from the previous iteration + the database sometimes being deleted or resetted) I could show you a screenshot of how the old forum looked like

Leto is someone who helps people ban evade on 4chan using proxies. He's become infamous in the past year or two for adding functionality to his 4chan proxy site that allows embedding files within images. People have used this to embed CSAM/CP into images and spammed these files onto 4chan. He's also known for spamming some furry images on 4chan, grooming people, being a pedophile, among other things. Do NOT visit his proxy websites; they might contain illegal material.
Lately he's been doxxed by soyjak party. I'm not 100% sure if the doxx is actually him, but it looks pretty legit. People are putting up flyers around his alleged home with pictures of him and text saying he's wanted for being an animal abuser and pedophile, which are NOT unwarranted accusations. I've heard something about soyteens doing a sting operation on him too.
I have become disillusioned by people of his kind shitting up anonymous imageboards so I'm now very wary of people who wear their identities on their sleeve on anonymous imageboards, even if they are totally innocent like you are, I presume.

This was kind of the default state of internet communities in the 90s and early 2000s, everyone was just a nickname, no profile, no pictures, no subscriber count and I think it was great, because you had to judge people on their character.
