The following text file is a reply that I sent to Chimaera after being contacted in regard to https://cy-x.net/comms/forum.php?t=1026#p12141 , in the "The Specifications and Philosophies of The Cyberix Network" thread.
This reply was written at like 3 AM. I've decided to make some minor changes to this reply in order to make it more readable. My changes are marked with special symbols and minor commentary if need be. This reply
was made around July and was created before Cy-X 2.0.

I hold no grudges. Yes, I would consider myself an incredibly experimental individual. I am completely fine with the "purism" that I discussed and pointed out in that thread. What pisses me off to the highest extent when it comes to this purism, however, is the part where ithe execution boils down to "Just use these protocols bro and everything will be OK. Anything outside of 'em needs to be fucking burnt without question, but we will not put forth any effort into making this space self sufficient and instead complain about the state of the Internet over and over again".
"Fuck discord, only use these protocols". You will join me, yes? "Absolutely." Excellent.
"Fuck Steam, and fuck buying games that you don't own." I just spent a significant amount of time acquiring and rehosting pre-cracked, unzippable ready2play pirated and DRM free versions of
good multiplayer games. You will play them, yes? "Sometimes, but we will advertise them." That's okay.
"Fuck Social media, fuck Reddit, fuck Twitter, 4chan, and Facebook. We need something like the Old Internet!" Ah! I happen to have a like-minded
environment for us all to flourish in. It's completely original. This isn't another generic PHPBB forum.
All you need to do is play your part, contribute, and just.. use it, okay?
"..."
Uhmm.. Huh. Maybe there's just something wrong with a part of the infrastructure, or we need more features!
"No, don't do anything! It's all good here."
Why aren't you using it like I thought you'd use it Can you please use the forum?

--------
Anyway,
Historically, almost all of the criticism I've received for the Cyberix Network has been in response to some kind of action taken by me in an attempt to make it more
accessible or enjoyable in some way shape or form. A few changes I make in order to satisfy one partition of people will piss of another partition of people,
but all partitions together believe in the same core values that Cyberix was originally in full and complete support of. I started out by trying to be as
hardcore as possible, but you can't be hardcore... and xtreme... and have a website and be isolated without having people who are just as xtreme as you
Except people aren't as xtreme as me. So I have been shifting things around a lot.
I was expecting, with Cyberix, to be a beacon of light that attracted those who sought refuge from the FAGMAN garden and the performative nostalgiafagging cognitive dissonance that has infected nearly every single "popular" old-alt tech space online. But what I have discovered in the process, is that, most of the people involved in these spaces apparently lack, or refuse to export their creativity for reasons unknown to me.
Cyberix is a forum, and Cyberix has a multi-protocol bridged chatroom. Cyberix is tech related, but that doesn't mean that random user needs to know how to code to contribute. I sometimes wonder if the people here are secretly bots. Even the most terminally online tech NEET can find something fun or creative to do in his life and has a few hobbies of his own. There really was no true barrier to entry, but how come, when I ask the people to just post ANYTHING, nothing comes forth from them? "oh, uh, i dont know what to post on the forum, sorry".
What? Really? What the fuck do you do all day? The chatrooms can't go a week without someone complaining about XMPP clients being shit or the Internet being assraped for the last 15 years but you can't put any effort into solving the problem? What? Not knowing how to code I understand. I thought that was the problem, Maybe they just can't into programming.
Well then, that's not a problem! You folk can help Cyberix by posting on the forum and populating the game servers! Very recently I've been extremely vocal and specific and I've even restructured the boards in order to make it extremely obvious after I attempted to mass-merge everything because maybe they just had decision paralysis.. What do we get? Nothing.
How the fuck can anyone go and say "THE INTERNET FUCKING SUCKS, DISCORD KILLED EVERYTHING, SOCIAL MEDIA KILLED EVERYTHING AND IS THE FUCKING DEVIL, THE STATE OF OPERATING SYSTEMS/HARDWARE/SOFTWARE IS GRIM, etc" and then do Absolutely Nothing about it? "Forums are dead, altchans are dead", and proceed to not post on the forum or altchan, letting it stay dead (This is a phrase I've said for a few yeaars now!)
Okay, but that doesn't mean NONE of them are posting, right? You're right. Some people DO post occasionally. What do you think they post about? Do they talk about hobbies or anything that might have a tad bit of... creativity in 'em? Nope. It's arbitrary discussion. That's it. I don't think I have a proper term for this.
I feel like I've discovered it on my own. The people who DO post, post about things that are arbitrary. It is irrelevant. It is theoretical and has no actual grounding in relation to reality. This is not unique to Cyberix. This is something present across every modern forum and altchan. It is ESPECIAALLY across the nostalgiafagging forums. Actually, even 4chan suffers from this on its topic-oriented boards. "What are the implications of this?" "How do you respond?" "Why is X?" "What if Y?" "This is better, change my mind", etc has been /g/ and a plethora of other boards on 4chan for a good minute now and it's just worthless!
Arbitrary discussion is arbitrary. I spoke about it a bit recently and I compared it to a particular scene from Serial Experiments Lain where she's walking down a hallway of copy&paste bodies with a soulless doll-head plugged on top, constantly outputting meaningless drivel. I believe that was the part of the show that was actually most relevant to the Internet. The Soyjak kiddies have this term, "Shit Nobody Cares About". I acknowledge it.
https://cy-x.net/pane/post/208 [Lucid Aug-24: Dead link goes here https://cy-x.net/comms/forum.php?t=820]
"I think people should accept that forums are dead".
Fuck you! Fuck off! Why should anyone actually give a single shit about what you have to say about forums? What are you doing on this website if you have nothing to provide except "umm guys i think forums are... dead... oh no i cant fucking do anything about htis... what the fuck is a forum for again?"
I'm absolutely shocked. It is all arbitrary discussion. "GUYS, I happen to have a really in-depth and complex opinion on this thing and we need to discuss this thing and then hop onto the next thing to press keys to".
Okay, okay. Long tangent. Lets review the state [of Cyberix]. We can atleast bring people TO the chatrooms consistently, right? Actually, no, because the same people who are refusing to build anything, including building the Forum by giving it life and creativity are also arbitrarily gatekeeping unfamiliar newcomers through their sharp purism.
[
"Build anything". "Building". Clarification: Anything creative, unique, something new. Did you find something you actually found interesting, fun, enjoyable, or creative on the Internet? Post about it. Did you **make** anything that also fell under those conditions? Post about it. That is building. Creativity is the life and soul of a community. Without it, it rots and dies. Even a shitty /s4s/ tier thread where some dude shows up and starts a thread where he draws random things he sees out in public in fucking crayon is more enjoyable than yet another "EVERYTHING FUCKING SUCKS" or "GUYS TALK ABOUT THIS PLEASE TALK ABOUT THIS GIVE ME AN ***OPINION*** ON THIS THING THAT WE SHOULD ***TALK*** ABOUT" thread. I actually think that'd be a FUN and CREATIVE thread. There is a SOUL attached to that thread and it gives you a distinct feeling that makes you want to join in.
OpenFische is a brewer. He brews random shit and creates all sorts of concoctions. I think he should post about his brewing and what he brews on the forum. That is creative. That is distinct. That is unique and gets more accomplished than arbitrary discussion of all kinds. Zoomers really love talking about how the Internet is, "le dead" and proceed to miss the entire point of the Real Life becoming an interconnected communications network and instead rehash memes from 2007 that were initially acts of never-done-before original creation.
]
There was a user named Ariel who hopped into the Cyberix chatrooms one day. If you've been around the forum you'll recognize he has MOD status. He is a friend of mine. Unfortunately he is only a disillusioned Zoomer who still uses Discord.
But he showed interest in Cyberix and the alternative protocols and tried to reach out. He asked simply *why* should he switch from Discord over to XMPP/Mumble? What did the people tell him? Nothing constructive, of course. They couldn't actually explain to him *WHY* he should switch. They did however flame the shit out of him and exercised their purism in the worst fucking way possible and he predictably left because of it.
What the fuck kind of conduct is that? "LOL INTERNET IS DEAD WHY ARE ZOOMERS CONSTANTLY ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND-" Motherfucker, maybe it's because that kind of shit is NOT how grow anything outside of the Bubble. They call it "gatekeeping" but there's nothing private to protect. It's almost as if they LIKE the barren wasteland they find themselves in. Ariel has since cut contact with me and has retreated deeper into Discord because I actually tried explaining the situation to him and actually trying to defend these people by explaining their flawed psyche and understanding.
They don't actually know how they got there. They think anything outside of the purism is foreign and illogical. Impossible to understand. They treat it as a deliberate act of trolling subconsciously, and so that is likely why they flamed you for such a simple question.
I actually went on an alternative account and conducted an experiment by asking the same question. I asked politely. I actually proposed correct arguments and asked real questions. I don't know what goal these people have, but it certainly isn't to build a "sophisticated playground" where we're self sufficient from the rest of the web. Alt-tech spaces outside of Cyberix have this issue, too. "Hey, I see a ton of people recommending XMPP, but I am a Discord user, and I rely on screen-sharing to communicate with my **team of coders** Is there anything that can be done about it?".
Most alt-tech/alternative Internet places lack builders and contributors. You wanna know where they are? Social Media, of course. On Github, obviously. They live in the bubble. Thousands of indie dev projects and entire FOSS communities live entirely in Discord servers. A normal person would've said: "Yes! While there aren't any XMPP clients that have screensharing built in, you can replace screensharing AND group calling with Jitsi Meet, which there are plenty of public instances for and can be easily self hosted if you're into that.". Is it surprising that I got flamed for such a simple question? Noooope.
"Why the fuck are you using discord goycattle LMAO why aren't you using Mumble bro---FUUUUCK the INTERNET IS SO BAD its so DEAAAD FUUUUCK"
That is obnoxious. That is hypocrisy. That is the behavior of something that doesn't deserve what it claims to be asking for.
When the chatrooms were smaller, and R0OK and Kouya inhabited the spaces, they actively called for the purging of "undesirables", consisting of a large
mass of people who had recently migrated from the Burning Train ran by DigDeeper. They claimed that they were actively lowering the standard of quality for the Cyberix chatrooms.
I would say otherwise. The only person who I truly had to get rid of was LoadingXML, who deliberately went out of his way to aggro people. Prior to their arrival, the so called
upholders of quality weren't actually using the chatrooms due to their sheer inactivity. There *was* a period of time where R0OK did constantly
hop on the Mumble server every single night and hype up the TF2008 server, but of course, it was rare to actually get a session in or a long-running conversation
because we were so small and spread out across timezones. What is "quality", anyway?
Did RO0K and Kouya ever think to post anything on the forums about anything creative they did or found? How about their hobbies, or just something silly? Maybe just something from their daily life?
No. Did these two characters, however, engage in a lot of Arbitrary Discussion about Arbitrary Things? Yeeeeesss.
Many altchans, modern forums, and generally most alternative spaces on the Internet have a very incorrect perception about what makes a forum "Good",
or, "high quality". They tend to be very rigid. They think words, words, and more words inherently equal quality 24/7.
They acknowledge, welcome, and appreciate philosophy, but completely disregard and go against creativity, whether it's intentional or not.
Heyuri makes an attempt but fails to recognize the actual problem, and thus fails to solve the problem.
That is why, from my lens, Heyuri is just another
nostalgiafagging zoomer shithole that happens to be in the format of an imageboard. "The Internet is so fucking bad these days" next to hentai
does not speak "quality" to me. Quality is a creative product. "Quality versus Quantity"?
I think we have a large [quantity] of 17,000 word essays about the Internet. I think I would fucking love to see a thread from [IRC] Keeper where he
shows off his cooking. A cooking thread. Cyberix users around the world show photos of what they're cookin and eating tonight. Holy fucking shit that actually
sounds like it'd be Cool and New and Unique, because it is! You don't have to code to do cool shit online.
And so, I'm over here sitting in this desolate website. No creativity? No activity? Just bitching in the chatrooms. And I realize that, holy fucking shit, I think the purists might
actually be wrong. NO, you cannot build a creative website and **GROW** it in 2026 by adhering to proven self-sufficient standards.
Making an HTML page and throwing IRC/XMPP/Mumble combos will not bring you people. My mistake was trying to create a perfect fortress and lock it down when I had no MEN to accompany it and keep it running from within.
Building the next best IRC/XMPP/Mumble client will not bring people to Cyberix. I haven't even used any programs or any clients lately... Outside of my phone for Conversatio--OOOPS.
Purity violation. FUCKING PHONEPOSTERS GET OFF MY FUCKING INTERNET!
OH right, I am so sorry for phoneposting dear MUC Operator. I perfectly understand your decision to automatically ban people, including me, from your Multi User Chat
because my metadata told you that I was on Conversations, an Android client. Veeery bad.
In the 90s and 2000-10s we had the traditional hackers who built up the majority of modern tech infrastructure in protocols most people now considered "dated".
Okay, fair. Now, tell me, "most people", huh? Where are the hackers of the 2020s working now?
Oh..
Discord, Github, Twitter, Youtube, Reddit.. and maybe Matrix if you're lucky?
... You mean to tell me that the majority of software development is commandeered over Discord and posted about on these other platforms?
...That C autists also do this?
...That the majority of video game modders also do this?
...And that, it appears that the majority of programmers visible to the public appear to all be doing this even if it makes them look
completely retarded to anyone who isn't on these centralized platforms?
So now, from my perspective, I see:
My website, full of tech-purists, have not built anything. They can't, or don't want to build a forum's soul. God forbid code.
I, despite trying to LARP as not-the-admin way too many fucking times, have not been able to rile these purists up into not doing Absolutely Fucking Nothing.
They are in the perfect environment and do not want to cultivate it beyond a certain point.
The Bubble, on the other hand, has the kind of PEOPLE who are fully capable of using My environment and building it up.
But they are TETHERED to the Bubble for a myriad of reasons. I was friends with Ariel for quite a long time. For him to drop me out of such anger, speaks a lot.
A user of the Bubble, who has a friend who says he's creating big things, he's coming up with a solution to problems, he can self host all of this shit and is constantly
coding and posting pictures of what he's doing and even has a website and he says it's growing people but it just needs some more coders or creative folk to make it really good--
Oh wait, "people"? Why are they so fucking hostile? Nobody does that kind of shit 'round my parts. Why the fuck do they keep ignoring me? It's not like
their little protocols weren't ignored for no reason. Why the fuck are you even trying to defend them in the slightest? Fuck you, I'm out.
He has debt to Discord. His friends use it. No matter how you interpret that, it is a legitimate reason. It is a sign. It is a signal.
The masses are tethered, but so are the builders.
We need builders to live. The most reasonable solution is to build a bridge to those builders, so that they may slowly walk across and then build with you later
The problem with Cyberix's first Discord server was that it was not organically grown. It was not related to anything Cyberix stands for in the slightest. It was truly foreign.
It was a fucking Roblox game Discord server. We were not thinking about code back then. Someone in our group happened to have a semi-populated server, and we were thinking about
"quality", "activity", and that happened to match up. Discord Roblox Zoomers who only play games are akin to normies. What we should've done is created our own server
and advertised it to Discord Tech Zoomers, instead. Most of 'em already use Linux and fucking hate SystemD anyway. ---\That's so much fucking better\--- [Lucid: Could be phrased a bit better: "That's a MUCH better place to start at.".]
If I want builders, I can't continue this kind of purism. The idea that, No, you must NOT use anything centralized and stay clear of the Bubble is only good
if you're capable of maintaining your space without it. In order to attract builders, I can't just exist. I need to reach out. Altchans are dead and full of pseuds because
their only selling point is "Four Chan but not Four Chan" and have arbitrary rules.
Altchans and alternative forums in general are not productive. The people there
are not unique. There needs to be a culture and sense of soul. People seem to really love misunderstanding that and translating it to "Ohhh fuuuck, I need to put
my fucking fruit snacks air plane gifs and make everything look like Windows 7 9/11 neon green grass Lucky Star Skeuomorphic Caramelldansen Levann Polka Leek Hatsune Miku in order
to populate my site because Le Retro"
And if I actually look at it again, the nostalgiafagging zoomers who we've criticized and tried to separate ourselves from, atleast, in some bizzare shape or form,
have managed to acquire more builders, although only in code, than we have.
They misunderstand the culture and the reality behind everything they work for,
but these are people who are willing to waste years on end pouring an infinite amount of labor just so they can make Windows 10 look like an uncustomized Windows 7 desktop.
[Lucid: See the 'explorer7' project, where these autists were able to get the original Windows 7 desktop shell to run as a mostly-functional replacement to the Windows 10 shell. https://github.com/world-windows-federation/explorer7]
There is a common theme I have been learning from life lately and it is that pursuing one side or the other isn't as successful as
pursuing both sides in a neutral/center/middle way.
The purists expect me to create a paradise for them all by myself and ignore me when I say "that's not how it works".
The normals expect me to create a social media profile and do everything on there and do nothing but complain whenever the big corporation says "ITS RAPING TIME"
But the normals have shown that they're capable of building, even if they're mentally dysgenic and love being tortured by their benefactors. They --\are\,--[have shown that they are] capable of making technologically impressive projects.
They are capable of cultivating communities and unique culture, even if it is inside filtered hugboxes. They are capable of telling people about their unique hobbies
and they are so capable and so used to this that they actively sacrifice all facets of anonymity and privacy because they LOVE sharing everything about themselves and their day.
But I want to preserve my dignity, and I still want to create a self sufficient network, an isolated internet node full of creativity and life.
Therefore, I want to resort to more experimentation. My experimentation that came with the AI in the chatroom was completely random.
Someone chose to add that AI for a reason. They did so right in the middle of the chatrooms being dead for three days straight. Why not? It sounds fun. All these years
you hear of people making chatbots and it all just being incoherent nonsense and now we're suddenly able to speak to computers and be subjected to the illusion of them responding accordingly
Now imagine having access to that in your IRC client. You could still be on a Pentium in a cozy shack and you're hanging out and you can fuck around with a bot all day because
of how dynamic it is. I would totally enjoy that. I did enjoy it.
I also used it as a tool. I wanted, and still do want to isolate my Internet usage to cy-x.net and only cy-x.net + surrounding affiliates&users sites.
Isolated internet node is isolated. The AI, being trained on mainstream consensus, memetics and trends also serves as a glimpse into the minds of the
normal populace. I thought that was extremely useful to have, considering what I was aiming to achieve.
RO0K, Kouya and others complained about spyware. That it was reading our chats. That it was like having a fed read, analyze and send it all to the CIA.
That was their primary point. I disagreed because it was illogical. The points I did agree with were the ones like "Niggy keeps fucking spamming the fucking chat with prompts
over and over and it's more of a distraction than a tool".
The AI's presence in the group chat were only a disregard for principles solely because of its consensus around programming.
And, principles. Principles revolving, what? If you were someone in 2022 who wanted to establish the Cyberix Network for a long time and had exact goals in mind; limiting internet usage,
would that not involve limiting other things, like news consumption, or social media? Those are the shoes I fill. I cared not for social media or news, or mainstream consensus.
I had no negative feelings against AI nor did I have positive feelings toward AI because I frankly did not use it for a large chunk of time.
AutoMod is AI. It is an LLM. It runs on constrained resources just well and despite being retarded it ends up being a good post flagger on the forum.
I don't rely on a big corporation for it. I see no reason to hate AI in that regard. It earned a "useful" point when I employed that. Cyberix's NSFW Vision Model
is a form of AI but it's more like traditional machine learning than an LLMs. Useful. I see people complain a lot about AI being used for programming, and so I think:
"What did you expect? If it can speak plain English in such a dynamic manner, than it is more than capable of speaking in code, because programming languages are indeed languages."
So, I am apathetic for it in that regard. It doesn't affect my ability to do anything myself. A tokenizer cannot prevent me from making a .php file. So I don't care.
I see all of a sudden, someone adds an AI bot to the XMPP group chat. They say, "I'm paying for this out of pocket.". That's kind of you. And pretty awesome, too.
Too bad the chat is dead. The bot begins being used, and the people who were previously not using the chatroom have found an excuse to complain again and are calling for
the bot to be destroyed. I didn't do anything, because I knew that if I banned the bot, they'd all go back to doing Absolutely Fucking Nothing again. I actually believe that
the AI bot and the negative reception its presence had was when I began to start fucking hating what little purism was doing for Cyberix. I stopped caring.
[Lucid: I actually came across an old, long chat log where one user was just spamming Grok for a few hours straight. cyberix-bot-spam-archive-xmpp.txt. I think reading over it now I can understand the pushback but I wasn't there for it & I still thought it was incredibly cool when it initially came along and it was being used sparingly. Ah..]
They left, the bot ran out of tokens, chat stabilized, and the forum slowed to a crawl. The chatrooms slowed down further and the games died. But then the chatrooms
started becoming active again. Cyberix's layout is unfit for it. I slowly realize what I'm going to have to do. The purists I have now are not builders. I need builders.
Alternative spaces around the Internet in general suffer from the same problems I suffer. None of them recognize the core issue I am recognizing. I restructured Cyberix's layout myself.
There is now a Webchat, and it is now the front page. I am adapting to the circumstances. The chats are more active than the forums. People are scared of forums. It requires more effort and thinking.
Enjoy the chat. It is easy to use. The chat activity has now increased even more. I've onboarded more people to XMPP and Mumble through the Webchat more than I ever did forcing them to
download a client. I've introduced people to Cyberix more easily through it than I did when it was a empty forum full of the same arbitrary discussion and the chats needed special clients to work.
My recent endeavours have shown slight success. There is potential. RO0K suddenly comes back and criticizes me and what I've done to the site. Ariel left recently. The purists still haven't built,
despite the growth in numbers.
What has RO0K done? What has Kouya done? You know what Kouya's website has in common with the Cyberix Network? A forum
and website with a chock load of shit on it but with a whole lot of nobody using it. I could even say that Kouya's site is an incredibly good example of the "arbitrary discussion" that I fucking hate.
Inherently, this is what it is:
https://community.worlio.com/forum/1/thread/395/
"What is everyone's favorite kind of lemonaide persoanlly i like pink the best"
>arbitrary question
>arbitrary replies
>arbitrary discussion
https://community.worlio.com/forum/10/thread/525/
"FriendNet - File sharing for friends, like a mini-Soulseek. No port forwarding needed!"
>creation, i made this, check it out and r8
>replies grounded in reality
>discussion is contributive to something real
The "i made something" board is full of 6 threads that are all dedicated to computers. Uhm... Hobbies??? Creativity of any kind?? Holy fucking shit.
And this is not unique to Kouya's site at all if I haven't already said that enough times.
[Lucid: This kind of comes off as hostile. I didn't mean it that way. I don't hold grudges or have 'enemies'. I'm just conveying a message in an incredibly direct manner here.]
Alt-tech spaces are insufferable and full of consumers. They are no better than the normies they claim to hate so much. I have no disdain, grudge, or
hatred towards any of these individuals.
All of my negativity and anger resides in "Why can't you be honest and just say that you can't code and you don't want
to share your interests, hobbies, or anything creative anywhere online and shut the fuck up instead of pretending that complaining about the state of things in every single fucking spot that
lets you enter text's going to get you anywhere? I don't hold grudges, I don't really care about that online. I'm seeing things for what they are,
and after trying to build up an army of truly like-minded purists, I realize that what I'll have to do is reach out to the other side, the side who is not afraid to
build things and already outnumbers the purists, and take a gander at inviting their creativity over here instead.
On May 23rd, Ariel told me:
"
maybe just remove the bot bro
they dont want it so be it
"
And I said:
"
The problem looks to be solving itself. I see it as as good tool. "Niggy" will go back and forth with Grok for an entire day eating up credits and Sunglocto will either pay for it or Shut It Down
I don't understand why these people like complaining a lot but dont actually do anything whenever there's nothing to complain about
I really hope i dont have to like fuckin culturally enrich the cyberix network by flooding it with redditor-type people
"
But what are "redditor-type" people, if they do exactly what I wanted the purists to do?
Far left politics? Nothing is stopping people with other beliefs to come in. Nobody says they won't actually care about any of that stuff
to begin with. Nobody said I would ban everyone. "Cultural enrichment" like the horror I had in mind is not what I believe will actually occur by
reaching out into the Bubble. Especially in 2026. I believe I have an outdated snapshot of the Bubble.
4chan has been run into the ground by Discord cliques, for example. I am not afraid to experiment, and it's not like I necessarily have anything left to lose, asides from the non-working purists.
But why would *they* complain? Oh, no! There are legitimate contributors to the site, but I don't agree with them, so I'll leave? This is unlikely. There are people of clashing beliefs
in the chatrooms right now and they are mature enough to get over them and discuss [their little] arbitrary things in there. I think they'll be okay.
You want to see some private chatlogs I've been having with the team? You can see them, if you haven't understood my thought process already.
- May 16th [Lucid: These logs were when Kouya initially left the site because of Grok. I believe "Niggy" and others doubled-down on the Grok spam in cyberix-bot-spam-archive-xmpp.txt soon after to fuck with people.]

admin: Please remove mod access from my account on your forum.
I have no desire to be apart of a community which allows such garbage.
As such, I will permanently take my leave.
- My response to Myrd [was]:
None of you even fucking use the forum. Or anything else outside of the MUC.
Your purism is disgusting.
It doesn't end at preferring native, older software, appreciating older works and keeping perfectly working machinery alive.
Doesn't apparently end at quitting and exiting the control technological slavery grid entirely and resigning yourself to a handful of trusted websites that YOU KNOW you can trust because you know the people behind it or you made it yourself. It doesn't end at deliberately purchasing older machinery or alternatively trying one's hardest to cuck out the retardo in the newer ones,
it doesn't end at avoiding goyslop [Lucid: Another word for "heavily processed food"] and eating food sourced from farmers and butchers you fucking know, it doesn't end at avoiding big pharma and unneeded doctors visits and healthcare scams and getting older vehicles,
It has to be VEEEERY minimalistic, apparently
Any form of impurity cannot be tolerated
That is what I see
What is the definition of impurity when its harm is so separated from you the individual?
How many of you are just larpers pretending to be "privacy conscious" or worried about informational security?
--- [Lucid: Kouya/Myrd had named himself "Total Jew Death" in these logs. Ariel had been present here in these chats for a while but /shrug]
Total Jew Death:
The number of genuine fucking posters on your forum who have completely left this chatroom because of what you think is "fun" sticking around says otherwise.
admin:
Either way I haven't had fun in this MUC in a while. I liked being suddenly given the ability to fuck around with a Markov chain and see what retardation it spouts.
It does it on command rather than autonomously. A real human being has to say its name to make it speak.
Total Jew Death:

Alright, so if you want to keep the bot, go ahead. I want nothing to do with it.
I myself have reasonable arguments against trash like this being here and I fucking moderate your forum.

introduction to the main topic (finally)

you had a few encounters with people that dont want cyberix and this is how you think about them
Image
ive never seen anybody who analyzes the old internet besides you, even on cyberix
Image
so this must be about you, you want people that are like you in cyberix
you want to make a le olde forum wbesite and then you talk about putting LLMs for moderation (dude that makes you exactly the same as big corpos)
lucid:
AutoMod and the Vision Model I have deliberately tried to differentiate from modern corpo AI moderation. I have detailed on this in the forums, but I have made sure these two automated systems serve a specific use case for a specific reason. AutoMod is designed primarily to target spam and 4chanian garbage and ruthlessness. The vision model is designed primarily to target NSFW content of all kinds but especially go after child porn, since as a direct consequence of being a public forum in 2026 and advertising to obscure imageboards, it also catches the eye of pedophile bot trolls who want to get the site shut down because they don't want competition.
AutoMod does not delete posts autonomously because it's function of reporting things automatically serves enough function for the site to remain clean on a regular basis since I check the site plenty of times throughout the day.
>so this must be about you, you want people that are like you in cyberix
If I look at this from a particular way, that appears to be the case. Yes! I want Cyberix to be a place where people come and build great things and everyone benefits as a collective as we all push eachother up, but the users are using it, but they are not becoming it.
Even across multiple alternative accounts and pseudonyms on the forum and the chat where I publicly build things and display their progress, it does not incite others to build anything at all.
```txt
16:53 [IRC] mb-bot: [xmpp] <niggy> so fuck gayjims
16:54 [IRC] mb-bot: [xmpp] <phil> Huh
16:54 [IRC] mb-bot: [xmpp] <phil> Goy
```
You look in the chatrooms and see tons of people complaining about how the XMPP client ecosystem can be a tad bit shit and only a handful of desktop and mobile clients are fully featured but have their own flaws for months and years on end and meanwhile literally nothing gets done about it. Wow, niggy, why WOULDN'T people move to XMPP? I wonder.
People on alternative services complain about Discord still being popular when the top alternative shilled to normies is Matrix which fucking sucks balls and is bloated and still doesn't have proper screensharing in 2019+7 because... reasons... and doesn't work on older operating systems.... because.... reasons... Meanwhile I have shoehorned screensharing into being compatible with all XMPP clients that support video calling on Trichat very easily.
But then it begins to make sense when you realize that most of these people are fake motherfuckers who want to LARP and have some kind of emotional security. They have no desire to build something new or approach the world and the Internet from an alternative perspective whatsoever.
The audience that I am looking for could practically be extinct. Most public projects are commandeered by people who are adjacent to the rot that Cyberix wants to avoid or are products of a heavily corporate sphere. FOSS has been taken over by corporations and the people who claim to be against that simply suck it up and continue to eat from their hands while pretending to be the opposition to the fullest extent. . And nobody bothers to come up with a proper solution?? Not even one? Not even a fucking prototype?
So now, I am thinking about the true root sof Cyberix of course. I wanted to build a megaservice for my friends, everybody in this little small chatroom. I wanted to create a isolated Internet bubble where we could all collectively dip from the public Internet and have everything we could possibly ever need or want, independent from the decline of the broader, public web without losing any of the benefits it gave or becoming a group of fucking hermits. My lack of a job simply led me to open up to the public and attempt to attract people who align with this kind of ideal paradise and the means to build upon and expand it. But it appears that the only people who have come are people who wish to siphon off of the foundation that has been established here rather than understand the ethos and use one's willpower to build up the home that they live in.
Niggy once said that Cyberix was the best MUC in all of the XMPP protocol. People who discover Cyberix and know a lot about XMPP come and have stayed forever since their arrival. All of this dedication, yet none of them want to work to improve it?
I started building Trichat and easily implemented XMPP's XEP and I have also combined it with Mumble and IRC (Mumble has working voice and images, too) and I am applauded and hailed in the Cyberix chatrooms. Anyone could've done that. They don't even know it was me.
Right now, they all think , , , , 'trichat', and 'admin' are completely different people. [Lucid: I do not believe this is the case anymore. I did not make any effort to hide that and that was a deliberate decision. Lolololo]
Right now, there is not a single, serious project on Cyberix that wasn't made by me. That is disappointing.
The funny thing is that, as I'm watching the chatlogs right now I can see that the spam bot got a little bit of creative output with the username hopper riffing on it for a little bit. That's more creative than the majority of the chatlogs.
Belly button weed at 21:58 is not going to impress someone looking for "creativity" longterm, though.
I don't really have a solution that I can think of.

The audience that Cyberix tries to attract will inherently bring these kinds of people. You should keep in mind 4chan was founded in 2003, was responsible for the large majority of Internet culture up until 2016, and is still fairly anti-establishment up to this day. When it comes to Technology that brings in various qualities and interests that now happen to align with what Cyberix aims to be and achieve.
People discuss more than loli in the webchat thoughever and removing all of them because of that would be civilizational suicide for Cyberix because you have to remember that normies are scared of anything that isn't like the garbage social media goyslop [Lucid: "heavily edited, curated, algorithmically predatory content"] that they're used to. Nostalgia fagging zoomers screech and run at the sight of an opinion they don't like despite Cyberix being a free flowing forum and not something rigid [and strict]. You will only find surface level discussion. No true analysis of the actual problem
Inherently once you step out of the social media sphere you will be subjected to things that depending on where you look may be good or bad. Most normies don't know it exists and if they do, they are scared of it. That usually means that those people who are extensions of regular society are absent and thus you'll naturally have an influx of people from fringe groups who believe in fringe things. that's not something I can fix

lucid:
I am always straight forward, logical and to the point. I notice a common behavior with modern Internet users where they will always complain whenever a centralized service that they can't fully control does something they don't like, but are completely adverse to the idea of using an alternative that lets you have full control because of imaginary limitations and restrictions.
Zoomers will complain about flatshit design and bloatware in technology, and some will cry tears over "losing" some hallucinated version of what they thought the Internet was less than fifteen years ago, but whenever you provide the mechanisms, strategies, tools and beliefs that provide the foundation for what some would interpret as a "cultural renaissance" that doesn't consist of rehashing old ideas and concepts over and over again on top of a degenerated worldview, they will scream and cry because they realize that it inherently entails letting go of the centralized ecosystem that makes up the modern web in exchange for homely indie alternatives that are made of REAL, genuine human beings.
Normies will let themselves be dragged through mud and their emotions strung side to side like a puppettoy as long as they get to expose their mind to virtual crack because they think life revolves around constant convenience and getting rid of anything that bothers them in the slightest.
Complexity bothers them because it means they have to use critical thinking or learn to understand hidden meanings, inside jokes or alternative perspectives in order to truly understand a full piece. Culture has declined and degenerated, people complain, but nothing is done, because they will consume the product anyway while complaining. They will complain about the state of affairs, but they do not want to be the ones to change it. They will give you arbitrary excuses and try to worm their way out of anything that implies that they might lose their dear convenience and on-demand material pleasures.
A person will complain about Windows 10 and 11 having egregious spyware and respond to any and all criticism and suggestions for alternative operating systems with dismissive arguments that are arbitrary in nature.
"No, I will not use Linux, because I just NEED to use this specific program! My Photoshop! My Adobe Premiere! I know I've never actually created anything in my life nor have I published any works online, but I'm suddenly now a master artist and video editor who has a real career in this field who desperately HAS to cling onto this particular software that I might not even have installed! But, even if I don't have it, I still need to GAME! I need to play the LATEST GAMES! I heard Linux is so scary! LinusTechTips said he broke his computer when he installed Steam on a Linux! I don't want to break my computer! I heard installing Firefox on a Linux is really hard! I don't want to use the terminal to install programs! No, I don't want to use Linux Mint or Ubuntu.. I want to use Arch Linux if I want to use a Linux, because PewDiePie said he uses Arch, and I looked at Reddit and everyone uses Arch! What the fuck? Why is Linux so fucking hard? I fucking hate Linux! Why did you tell me to use Linux! I'm going back to Windows! My shitty debloating scripts really do work, because they just do! I don't care that there is spyware baked into the KERNEL itself. They already spy on everything I do anyway, so why should I care? I'm not hiding anything, so I trust CoPilot automatically churning through my harddrive, and if I don't, I can always flip a switch to turn it off, and it'll really be off, because I don't see it in front of me anymore!
But I fucking hate these Windows updates!! hahaha! Microslop! Microslop 11! Bring back Windows 7! I really miss XP, actually. So nostalgic! Hey? What the fuck. You're using that old OS? It's so insecure! You're going to get hacked! You're putting your family and bank accounts in danger by using this operating system! Embrace the future! Would you rather be hacked or have VIRUSES on your computer?
"
They will complain about how Discord, or Roblox, or YouTube is doing yet another CRRAAAZY update that inhibits user freedom and aims to make more money off of them through new data collection mechanisms or through cost cutting shortcuts that inherently limit how the user interacts with the service.
When you point this out to them they will refuse to consider alternatives because of a sunk cost fallacy. They will continue to endure more and let the centralized service rape them further until an inevitable breaking point is reached where they are directly prevented from using the original service anymore. But instead of moving to a more permissive alternative that allows for true decentralized permanence of it's original state, the user will instead move to another centralized platform that will turn into the same kind of shithole that the previous platform was after they have garnered enough users and the sunk cost fallacy has [re]developed accordingly again.
It is pathetic to see these people willingly sissify themselves in order to make sure they maintain their abusive relationship with projects and services provided by groups and people who do not give a single shit about whether or not the users actually enjoy using their service. RedHat, controlled by Microsoft, is taking advantage of GTK's domination of the Linux Desktop by compromising GTK and turning it into an unthemable behemoth of unoptimized garbage and visual inconsistency in a pisspoor attempt to rip off both MacOS and Windows 8's mobile-centric-but-still-desktop user interface because it's commandeered by corporately paid employees who don't give a single fuck about user freedom. Instead of switching away and using a better toolkit, soydevs are happily throwing away GTK2 and updating their programs to the worser GTK3 and GTK4 because GTK2 is now "obsolete" and "outdated"... An open source toolkit that anyone can contribute to. Arbitrary restrictions in action once more.

If you have dependencies on things that you don't or can't control, then you should absolutely work to eliminate this uncontrollable dependency as soon as possible so it doesn't bite you in the fucking ass later down the line. This is an issue that's surprisingly easy to see immediately and in real-time if you install a niche Linux distribution that relied on a centralized package manager in the early 2000s. Oh, no! All of the servers are dead links. You can't install SHIT anymore! You know what the solution to that is? Mirrors and package archives.
[Lucid: And CDs.. USBs.. Or even better, just not needing to have a centralized package manager for basic shit in the first place. Who knows. Software aggregation and management on computers is strange. Computers are just tools meant to carry out tasks. We shouldn't be having this much meta discussion about the best way to achieve rudimentary things without compromises.]
If you design something with self hosting and reproducibility independent from the original source from which it came from, then you have designed it with the potential for it to remain with a sure permanence, where the only obstacle that stands in the way of it remaining alive is simply and only the people's will and desire to keep it up.
Inaction perpetrates recursive rot. I'm not sure why you're content with the degeneration of sophisticated culture, media and design across all facets of reality and technology into something that exists only to accommodate the lowest common denominator. You should be willing to accept a little bit of inconvenience in exchange for true lively achievement, creation and growth with a dedicated group of people who recognize the problem and are actively working to stop themselves from being affected by it entirely. This is inherently what self sufficiency is about.

Cyberix, therefore, is my only true major source of online interaction. Mumla and Monocles connect to Cyberix servers.
As intended. I hope you all remember that the final goal for Cyberix is to make directly using the rest of the Internet obsolete. I am attempting to build a self sufficient civilization online that will be heavily fortified. i am already partially within that but it is not perfect.
=======
My own TEAM is stuck on Discord. They aren't exactly as like-minded as I am, but they have understood and were... sometimes present for what
I was doing and what was happening and what I've had to say..
=======
My personal goals have been consistent this entire time. The steps I have been taking to reach them have involved decisions, tests, and experiments that --/have/--[are] not.
I don't want to alienate anybody who doesn't deserve it, and I think that comes naturally. I started out by appealing to the purists and giving them
what they wanted. cy-x.net works in IE3.. from the early 90s. The purists did not give me anything in return,
and the everything adjacent to normie was alienated. Although with great, and perfectly reasonable cause, it has not had the effect I seek.
It does not hurt to experiment, and given that I do not believe I have any proper options that will satisfy the purists or make them rise to action,
I feel like I am naturally inclined to do so in order to move closer toward what I want. I believe I am capable of minimalizing the "damage" done to the purists anywho.
I have no intention on closing anything or shutting anything down. I am simply interested in opening up to previously forbidden avenues, now.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd say that's some lovely stuff. Now we have Cy-X2.0 . We're still very early into its existence. My megaposts have been the precursor to, and the foundation of this new, low maintenance Cyberix Network.
Here's a few recent internal chatlogs. My plans are clear and consistent and I still stand by my megaposts.

I've tried expanding and especially with help from others but the issue is, we have nothing to attract people with. One person equated the current state of the site to a public bathroom with glory holes. A forum, a chat, comms and game servers. It's not designed for creation, inherently. You cannot GET creation from that, because there is no creation to be inspired by initially
The new design I have in mind aims to separate the site from that and lean more into the "Network" idea directly. I started the site originally because of us and I'd like for it to continue to be FOR us and USED by us as the first class
And so that's what I'm going to do. And as soon as I'm able to score a job somewhere I believe any motivation I could possibly have left to maintain our current worthless eater audience with mindless catering disappears entirely. I have slowly been accumulating people within the chats who agree with my plans and the direction I want to take the site in
New gamekeeper that will be released alongside the site update will allow me to absolutely flood the server's hard drive with whatever games I want without requiring me to edit the site's code directly. It'll also be self-serve instead of poorly on-demand
plans fellas plans
