Any games that you'd like Cyberix to start hosting?

Just looking to see if anyone in this forum has any kind of interests in some multiplayer games that they'd like to play. Provided they're self hostable and easy to maintain, it shouldn't be too difficult to spin up an instance of your favorite game and run it for a bit.

The end, err yeah.

TF2 modern day:
>90% of the players don't type in chat or even use voice chat
>the ones that do are autistic and retarded
>obligatory 4 fags, 3 zoophiles and a tranny on every server
>autistic zoomers larping as oldfags
>official servers are not hosting the vanilla game anymore
>only 2 servers where you can actually play the game, the rest being either unplayable compslop or a pedo chillout
>low-mid tier trading doesn't exist anymore (unless you count the automated botslop that ruined the economy as trading)
>the sole tf2 developer at valve is a fat 60 year old janny who doesn't care
>the game is getting "updated" exclusively with consoomer microtransaction slop while major flaws and exploits reign for years to make it seem like the game is alive on social media (bots, grifters and gamblers pumping out slop for gen alpha to consoom)
>get kicked for using voice chat
>get kicked for not playing the objective
>get kicked for having a private steam profile
that being said, a cracked Don't Starve Together server would be nice

I was friends with this one bot hoster who only did it to piss people off, him and the bots he made got VAC Banned maybe around early 2025? He never was able to make an account afterwards on steam due to that because it'd either get VAC Banned or it'd be wiped off like a smudge in a glass pane.
But I see your understanding as I already sold most of my shit already because I didn't have much use to them as I only use "OBS Studio", "Blender", and a bit of "Soundpad" as of recently.

The last "videogame" I played was chess, and I stopped after one too many rage attacks. I feel like games should be fun to play, but they're not. They bring out the worst in people.

I think OpenRA: Red Alert would be an interesting game to host. It's free, open source, and cross-platform. It's an RTS so I don't really expect it to pop off.

Up and running. https://cy-x.net/connect
I have no idea how to play it, but it seems pretty lightweight, so it's OK.

Modern tf2 is god awful especially when the cosmetics makes it almost impossible to figure out what class is what since they're covered in bling.
The 2008 version is fine but my only legitmate concern for this version is the unholy amount of security vulnerabilities but from what sources i can find most of them involve hijacking steam accounts so that isn't a huge concern for nonsteam verison, but there is some RCE vulnerabilities aswell that mostly involve abusing the buffer overflow. here is an example of one them
https://www.oneupsecurity.com/research/remote-code-execution-in-source-games/
I would honestly suggest using a newer modified version of tf2 such as tf2classic but the massive downside is the developers don't really give a fuck about balance and they're unhinged trannies that thrown out the original developer of the mod. there's also newer mods that haven't been published aswell tf2 legacy for example but i don't know if it will be good or not.

https://tf2goldrush.com/ is an actual attempt at bringing back old tf2 and not some pedotranny's hallucination
the mod's devs are going for something valve from 2007 would approve

I never heard or tried this, but judging from the screenshots it seems to be alot more promising compared to the other retarded revisionism mods i've played and seen. fuck it i'll vouch for it.

Yeah, TF2 has certainly gone downhill for a while in more ways than one. The botting problem had gotten large enough in scale caught the attention of more than just a couple handfuls of players, even a number of new players noticed.
Anywho, regarding the voice chatting issues:
>>the ones that do are autistic and retarded
Just them? Try leveling the playing field by speaking back
>>obligatory 4 fags, 3 zoophiles and a tranny on every server
Where did you get this number from regarding the presence of such people on the Steam TF2 servers, and how did you identify them accordingly as such? I am aware that most so-called ""trannies"" are either egocentric, ego-maniacal, attention whoring narcissistic fools drowning in mental sickness, thanks primarily to deception from ""Gender Studies"" Professors, years of violent or both that and sexual abuse, with minor genetic factors. It would be more accurate to refer to this illness as Gender Identity Disorder (GID).
>>autistic zoomers larping as oldfags
Many such cases
>>official servers are not hosting the vanilla game anymore
Sadly true more often than not
>>only 2 servers where you can actually play the game, the rest being either unplayable compslop or a pedo chillout
Compslop? WTF are you talking about, even? Pedo chillouts you are on the money about, overall. TBQH, such pedo chillout hideouts in online games are nothing new at all. Cough Epstein Island and Soros secret hideouts.
>>low-mid tier trading doesn't exist anymore (unless you count the automated botslop that ruined the economy as trading)
Very much so, for the most part
>>the sole tf2 developer at valve is a fat 60 year old janny who doesn't care
No comment
>>the game is getting "updated" exclusively with consoomer microtransaction slop while major flaws and exploits reign for years to make it seem like the game is alive on social media (bots, grifters and gamblers pumping out slop for gen alpha to consoom)
Yup, even Geometry Dash and PUBG still get updates more often
>>get kicked for using voice chat
But why? What happened, really?
>>get kicked for not playing the objective
Flimsy reasoning indeed, more often than not.
>>get kicked for having a private steam profile
Server mod and admin abuse of power such as this should be reported to Valve Moderator and site dev team!
Oh, and how about hosting games such as: Classic Doom (The Ultimate Doom, and Doom II), Prey (2006), Quake 1, Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam, Battlefield 2, Team Fortress Classic, Ricochet, Unreal Gold, Unreal Tournament '99, Unreal Tournament 2004, Quake 2, Marathon 1, Marathon 2, Marathon Infinity, Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior, Blood (1997), Q3A, Exhumed/Powerslave, Heretic, Hexen, Hexen2, NAM, Redneck Rampage, Half-Life Deathmatch Classic, Counterstrike 1.6, or Day of Defeat (Goldsrc version)? Which of them would more feasible in the foreseeable future to host properly?

zero people play these games so there's no point in hosting servers for them

And zero people play those games because nobody hosts servers for them. Do you see the problem yet?

>and zero people play these games so there's no reason to host them
Says WHO!? In the cases of the classic Doom games (ie: The Ultimate DOOM and DOOM II: HELL on Earth), Team Fortress Classic, Quake 1, Quake 2, Quake 3 Arena, CS 1.6, Heretic, Hexen, Duke 3D, Shadow Warrior 1997, Blood (1997), HL DeathMatch Classic, Sven Coop, Unreal GOLD, Unreal Tournament '99, Day of Defeat (Goldsrc), and UT 2004, Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam, Battlefield 2, and Prey (2006) there still are at least a moderate amounts of people who actively play the aforementioned titles, however it may be.

As for Redneck Rampage, Ricochet, Powerslave/Exhumed Nowadays, Marathon multiplayer after the late 2000s/early 2010s and NAM, I'm not going to even try to knock it, because you are basically correct, to say the least.

I think a luanti server would be a good idea. it's an open source clone of minecraft, I tried and it was kinda cool, boring without mods though.

Although we already have one rts game, I'd like to mention warzone2100 as well; open source, been around for decades, and still has a genuine small cult following of people. There is also the Morrowind servers that use the OpenMW launcher; which I believe is also open source. Which might be a good fix for anyone with a rpg addiction.
