I hate twitter with all my heart. I'm one step before deleting my lurker account and only keep the account I have for contacting with others that don't have an account anywhere else.

The only solution tot his problem is approaching the Internet from an Amish style of perspective.

And why so many sites are hosted at Cloudflare and its annoying captcha?

Anonymous - Sep 5 at 16:27:04 #51328

A global MITM attack. That's why.
You ever notice the little "privacy" and "terms" underneath their captcha box?

It's all a matter of consent.

> 90s and 2000s internet: Literally was just filled with nerdy boomers, gen xers, and millennials before they became sjw soyboys

As a millennial myself who grew up with 90s and 2000s internet and pop culture I will still never understand how in the world so many millennials that used to be normal people at the '90s and 2000s they suddenly started transforming into Sjw soyboys at early 2010s.

People that used to call others as niggers and faggots suddenly started lecturing you about "racism" and "homophobia". People that used to love sexy women at video games suddenly started lecturing you about "sexism at video games" and "the need to grow up as persons". Turning from a chill dude into a fascist oversensitive faggot isn't "growing up"!

And every other millennials that didn't exactly turned into SJWs they started siding with them because they were afraid to be treated as outcasts while in the past they would all laugh to these SJWs.

Meanwhile at the social circles I was at (both irl and online ones) I was treated as the "weird, schizo" one for being against all this sjw crap and just not wanting them to ruin my hobbies. As a result I was banned from various online communities and get ostracized by real life social circles. Fortunately at the same time I would get new friends (mostly online ones) that have also fed up with SJW crap.

Why the fuck are people reposting 4chan threads here

The only reason that should ever happen is when the jannies are actually being dickwads and 404ing the perfectly fine and board-appropriate thread while child porn sits on page 1 for 6 hours straight ignored

Why are you gay?

Anonymous - Sep 6 at 07:58:11 #51335

Tell me again why so many businesses have internet pages only at social media and they don't make a blogger site that is literally as easy as opening a social media page?

And sure, you can't expect from boomers to know how to make a blogger account. But how the hell are millennials opening a net cafe - bar and yet they can't make a fucking blogger site!

admin - Sep 6 at 12:21:35 #51342

>this among other threads here are being reposted from 4chan
>fucking why

Let's not make this a habit. If you're seeking endless dopamine hits from replies, this isn't the right place. We're here for quality discussions, and reposting the same exact shit from other sites dilutes that experience.

This particular thread could've been fine had it been standalone, but seeing that it's just a repost from 4chan sucks everything out of it.

While I understand the appeal of sharing interesting threads, it’s important to foster original conversations here. If you have thoughts or insights on the topics discussed, share them in your own words.

> Being that selective about what kind of conversations are allowed

And yet people like you wonder why people left forums to move to social media

admin ## ADMIN - Sep 7 at 12:26:05 #51355

There is a fundamental difference between being "selective" and having standards. Social media succeeded because it optimized for engagement over quality, which is part of the exact problem we're trying to avoid. If you want endless reposts and recycled content, those platforms still exist. 4chan suffers from this problem as well - go check /g/ and see how many threads there have been getting reposted for the past half decade.

It's not about being selective about conversations - it's about not copy-pasting entire threads from other sites. If you want to discuss these topics, start the conversation in your own words. Reference the 4chan thread if relevant, but don't just dump it here verbatim.

The one exception would be if moderators elsewhere are unfairly removing quality discussions - then reposting makes sense as preservation. But straight copying threads that are running fine on their original platform serves no purpose here.

P.S. - The message you replied to lacks a capcode and is not from a real administrator. Learn to differentiate between random anons and staff members so you can avoid getting confused.
