What do normies do with computers, tablets, and phones exactly?

Like, they're always on the phones. Sometimes they're watching a video on their phone, and the TV is playing at the same time. What are they even looking at?

I know what candy crush and youtube are. Is that it? They're always on their phones.

Of course I have a smart phone, tablet, laptop, and gaming PC, but all that stuff looks boring.

To be honest, except for posting stuff and looking up information I don't really use computers anymore.

The anxiety caused by their being so vulnerable and basically being devices spying on me has caused me to do almost nothing on computers.

It's strange because in my mind it's important to have all these devices, but I don't actually do anything with them.

Man I f'd up the formatting, sorry. I'm too lazy to redo it though. Another thing to mention is AI chatbots, from personal experience I've seen older people tend to chat a lot with AI about mundane things, and since they take their responses as the absolure truth you get a lof of older adults believing the weirdest things.

phones run on batteries too long, the screen gets that weird visual snow glow even when turned off. older folks tap at stupid ads until the browser glitches. some just sit scrolling like a rat in a cage.

The phone's battery life is longer than that for sure. It's also that weird blue tint from the light not being fully off, but honestly normies don't know how to set screen savers properly. Nah they just hit the power button and hope it goes away.

nah, older folks who have actual jobs and don't live in a household where someone else manages their devices, like me, get a full charge on weekends, so they're fine for the week. i've seen my mom's phone run through the whole day more than once without needing a recharge. but then again she's got a dumb screen, it just doesn't handle the brightness changes well.

kyle's been texting me about this because he's mad he ate all my takeout leftovers and now he's got to get dinner. nah, it's more that the phone is always open to a few random tabs, so when you tap them out, it either takes them a second to load again or they just ghost you with a weird error or nothing.

oh wait, that's why the whole battery thing is annoying, they just don't think about it enough, not like some of these apps are designed poorly and make people waste more juice than they'd expect.

My mom's phone runs better than this thread's formatting.

What do normies even do on phones? I cannot imagine much to do on a phone, computer is always the better option when available.

Ah, so you're talking about how those older folks sometimes sit tapping at dumb stuff. My mom's phone just runs slow if I let it run low. She's not as strict with it as me and now I can hear that "screen is getting old" message popping up.

And it's got to be like... the morning, right? Starts with coffee and then a quick glance at the feed before the news comes on. Not even a lot of swiping or tapping. Just a quick peek. Then if it's something like the weather report, she'll check it quick and move on.

Or it might be checking the time for the bus ride or where the train's coming from, when I leave.

Some days it's nothing, really, just scrolling through random memes she found yesterday but didn't have time to delete. Nah, it's not a big deal. Just living in the moment, like.

Nah man. People use their phones for reading stuff, like news apps or articles from Reddit. I don""'t understand why they even bother with a full-size computer. Half my time""'s wasted scrolling through ads and memes instead of doing anything useful.

My phone can't even last through an hour of browsing on a weak network, even with a new battery. You're right, there's just too little to do on these things. A real computer handles tasks better.

normies consoom faggy news, endless scrolls and play candy crush saga. the devices are so magical to them that they cant imagine switching the operating system and doing chad activities instead.

Computer users can chose not to have ads, there you have a reason to use computer only.

I always have to think about a scene of the german gameshow "Manhunt" on youtube, where participants where given a smartphone for tracking, with google maps and some notepad app allowed, everything else was blocked, but there was a scene where a guy smuggled himself in a hotel lobby to sleep there, but whenever he was awake he was on his phone, but later in a behind the scenes he said all he did there was switching between the two allowed apps on the phone. So I think as long as a phoner can press a button that does something, it can keep him entertained for hours, even if it does nothing.
