Im going to talk about my expierence with the current system and what I wish(This will also go into things like lighting that does not have much to do with particles but ill try to keep my rant on topic.)
Godrays
I Wish this was easier with roblox and VFX but sadly its not. In order to make a godray on roblox you have to use a beam which is not really a godray and while it looks good at certain angles sometimes it well…

oof
The thing that grinds my gears it that godrays are NOT expensive or even new things. they have been around since 2004 and much eariler. one of the earliest examples I can think of is halo 2 on the original Xbox
A example of Godrays, Halo 2: 2004, Orginial Xbox.

Another thing that I wish was a Dust particle system. I know that you can do this with the normal particle effect already wtih some scripts but man, It would be nice to have a dedicated emitter.

Sparks would also be nice. Ive had to deal with sparks when making my destructable car and the best I could do with the current particle emitter was not that much. I expect Roblox to have the same graphicial fidelity and options as the xbox 360 era but nope.
Example of Sparks, Grand Theft Auto V: 2013

I just feel like some more emitters would be nice. The lack of simulation options with particles makes it extremely difficult to do cool effects. All of the games listed here could run on phones if they were compiled for.
Simulation based particles or particles that follow gravity can be used in so many ways that games have been using for decades. Roblox lags decades behind with particles.
