I saw an anonymous user post a link to this website in a thread on another site discussing old forum culture. Modern internet culture is too fast and has me feeling exhausted and anxious. I have a small niche following elsewhere that I never intended to get as "big" as it did. I don't care for being linked back there, but I wanted a place where I could post a bit more freely without expectations, someplace smaller and slower. I miss when the internet was a separate thing from real life. Now it's always on your phone, seeking to milk your attention and dopamine receptors dry.
Fun Fact: I speak three languages kinda well!

It makes me both happy and sad that others can relate. I'm happy that I'm not alone in this feeling, but sad that it got to this point, but happy that we all somehow stumbled upon each other!

I absolutely feel that. It's so terrible feeling like a foreigner at times in a place I once called home. There really was a special culture that I'm sad to see fading away and being disrespected. Your ambitions, however, rekindle hope. Speaking of ambitions...

I'm happy to see passion in what you do, but don't forget to take breaks! It's unreal how important sleep is. We can rebuild what we once had, but our health is something that is incredibly difficult to rebuild if neglected for too long. You'll be at your best if you're able to rest properly. "Work hard, study well, and eat and sleep plenty".
