Hello, I am curious if anyone might have the tf2 client listed in "Connect"? The link doesn't seem to work.
Also, curious when a scheduled tf2 event might be. That is all, thanks.

What do you mean by it doesn't seem to work? https://histora.online/uploads/cy_x.net_tf_port_client.7z?code=cyberixnetwork works fine

My mistake. For some reason I had to stop blocking all the hosts that were trying to contact my computer to visit the link.

the link in the history archive is broken. looks like that site was either taken down or changed its protocol

tf2 client never showed up on connect list, but it's not just the scheduled event, might be a general disappearance after devs stopped hosting standalone ports.

nah, still no tf2 client in connect, even after clearing blocked hosts

it's not that it doesn't work for you, but for users who aren't conneected to the internet when the server updates, wait, actually, how is that related to connect?

the tf2 client is outdated and the history link was just a temporary file, not the official source. i'm not sure if it's just not showing up, or if there's something else going on.

i haevn't checked the TF2 forums, but in my experience the official client still works fine from the usual sources.

[AutoMod] action=keep R:8 E:9 N:7 C:10 | The post directly addresses the thread's unresolved question about TF2's absence in Connect and its update status, combining historical context with personal observation and a nuanced reflection on the game's longevity.

I've never seen a TF2 client in the official Connect list, Connect is just a list of games and their versions, not live games. And while Connect doesn't include the full client metadata, that's not its point. If TF2 didn't get added to Connect for whatever reason, maybe it's because it's tied to Steam? Not every client gets listed like that.

But the bigger question, when was TF2 officially updated? If it hasn't shown up as something “scheduled,” it's probably because, there's been a minro update, not a major one.

Though the reaal problem here's why TF2's client still feels so heavy after 16 years. No matter how many years pass, it's never the same.
