as far as I can tell lainchan doesn't have a working IPv4 address any more, but does have working IPv7<\s>6. I can only connect to it on ISP's that aren't stuck in the dark ages.

It's not hard to write a script to turn the words back. If you don't like the word filter, you can do that. I like them because they encourage people to articulate their thoughts better, and discourage pointless streams of coarse language. I have no problem with shit or fuck, but when I see a lot of them, the person is usually not making a point. Just venting, so using really emotive language. I avoid them because I do want to articulate myself well, and it's poor form to puff my chest and impose my thoughts with forceful words. We post online because we want to talk with other people, so we should aim to give our readers (our peers) a good reading experience.
Anyway, I think this month killed lainchan. It's been on and off constantly, but mostly off. All the boards have much lower post quantity and are less interesting.

yeah i tried that, ended up reinstalling arch after a week because the distro had some weird network stack that kept breaking my vpn tunnel. just said fuck it and switched to pop! os.
