THE END OF FORUNS AND CHANS IS HERE. THIS IS HOW CYBERIX CAN ESCAPE IT

There are dozens of jschan instances running on the webring, the fat kike pedophile Mark's 8moe. Also endchan, and the other 1000 chans for the sake of being a chan. There's even a site that catalogs them all https://allchans.org
image board culture is dead and most of them have such a low PPD count that no one uses them.
The Internet is dying - and with it, image boards, forums, and anything that isn't hyperdopaminergic content troughs is going with it. People just sit around in their Discords all day jacking off.
The only solution is local growth. If Cyberix wishes to grow, we will all need to start inviting people who we know and meet here. More points if we know them IRL.
This is how we grew our own sites in the very early days of the Internet, anyway. No webrings? No search engines? That's fine.
I can plaster fliers on streetlights and let people I know who are interested in tech about a particular site, and it'll work so much more better than trying to appeal to the spiritless masses that inhabit the lowercase-i internet today.
It was done then, and it can be done now.

You realize that the majority of CP posters are feds, right? Like the ones at 4chan that spam CP at "problematic" threads they want to shut down. And the ones that spammed CP to 8chan to shut it down and quickly got exposed for that when said spammers got doxxed.

The internet is dying because of people like OP.

His post is a mix of rudeness, arrogance, and empty propositions. He sounds like the kind of person who'd tell you to kill yourself just because you posted an opinion that he disapproves of. That kind of attitude ruins a community.
And let's look at his suggestions. Plastering fliers on streetlights is time consuming and hardly anyone reads them; out of those who read them, how many will be interested?
Inviting people you know only works if you're already part of a big group of like-minded people. What if you're looking for a website to discuss something precisely because you don't know anyone who shares your interest in that topic? (Which is probably true for a lot of people.)
It's clear that he hasn't thought deeply about this problem, and yet he's posing as an authority on the subject.

>You realize that the majority of CP posters are feds, right?
>quickly got exposed for that when said spammers got doxxed.
This is an illogical sentence. Federal agents wouldn't let themselves get doxxed so easily. In other threads here and on the IRC we have pointed out the possibility of third worlders, primarily Israel and India being the primary source of child pornography spam.
RapeApe (4chan's head moderator) has said the following in regards to general site maintenance and spam:
The main reason alternative imageboards struggle is because most are born out of protest to 4chan's moderation.
They have an anti-moderation stance (leading to perpetual problems with service providers) and a culture of being "not 4chan" instead of being something in their own right.
Those imageboards that formed organically around a particular niche topic tend to do just fine, but by being niche they are by definition small.
In addition to legal frameworks getting more restrictive, it's going to get harder and harder to keep the bots and spam at bay. Small imageboards survive mostly because the bots and spammers just aren't targeting them.
Not only does 4chan have to deal with third-worlders trying to shill their scam sites and shitcoins, we also have to deal with state actors deliberately trying to make the site less useful/entertaining as a subtle suppression mechanism, and just plain trolls who get off on shitting up anything that other people enjoy. Takes constant effort to keep the place from getting drowned in garbage.
>Can you explain why India IPs aren't range banned?
Some Indian ISPs are. It's just that they're actually a vanishingly small number of users. Most bots and spam come from elsewhere.
Something to consider.

The #1 reason CSAM should not be illegal (except commercialized CP). #1 reason there should be zero illegal content classifications. This is weapon of 5th generation warfare!

Cyberix can escape by actually being about something other than complaining about how the internet is dying and how we're the final fortress. If we go this way it will NEVER work. This post is a waste of time. I'm imagining this site will likely end up just like all the other alt-chans where everyone is talking about how internet is dying and nothing else and eventually everyone gets bored and stops posting.

1 - why does this thread need to be banned?
2 - banning people doesn't solve the core problem or actually address my question. do you have any ideas outside of banning this thread

Inviting more people to watch is not the solution! What is needed are people who will actually make thoughtful and interesting posts that lend well to discussion, most of all for thread posts but also for replies. We need varied topics too. Inviting a bunch of people from 4chan /g/ was a blunder because all they will offer are boring threads about programs and operating systems and web browsers. As if we need more posts on the Internet of people listing their preferences with ad-hoc justifications if at all.
Yesterweb was a failure from inception to the titanic fall. Why? Notwithstanding the stupidity of kids 'fighting for the cause' in a Discord room, it's also because they had nothing to talk about except their fetishistic love for an invented 'old web' ideal. What did the people on the 'real' 'old web' talk about? They talked about their lives, the things they do and stuff they make. Discussion for the sake of a topic, not for the sake of discussion.
I hate talking about this stuff, I hope to make this my only post that is 'meta'. I'd rather act accordingly with what I've said, and hope other people will engage in the same way. See the two threads I've already made. One about the stock market where I give my thoughts on how people treat the stock market as a new type of gambling, and hope for people to come by to agree and extend the post, refute my thoughts, or take the discussion in a new direction. Then the other about online esoteric discourse, which asks why are people interested in the esoteric junk you may find someplace like /x/?
To summarize, stop complaining that a place is empty, instead work on making it how you think it should be; and for the love of god please don't advertise on 4chan.
