Passwords for Windows devices are useless

I'm not that techy, I'm still learning lmao but what is the point of having a Password on a Windows device if you can just get in anyways using commandprompt and utilman.exe.bak? Like I said I'm not that techy so bear with me but uh even an Admin acc can be overridden from X: to C: or whatever. Just tried this with my school's Laptop. It's literally infinite profit if I were an asshole:
>steal devices
>use command prompt bullshit
>factory reset
>re-sell
what the fuck?

You could bypass a login password on any operating system. The only point is just to stop the most basic snooping, like a nosey coworker. People who care about their data enough can use full-disk encryption and not just leave their shit on and open all the time. Thieves who factory reset don't give a shit about a password anyway, they just want the hardware.

i didn't know that, thanks :)
but i don't think normies don't do this, which actually boggles my mind how uninformed they are. I'm still learning and it wasn't that hard to do lol.

*do btw (-_-)
But yeah normies just refuse to be techy, why fix the problem yourself or bother learning when you can have someone hold your hand the whole way??
