Older post but there is actually a good reason why the furcode exist: character limits.
A lot of the early furry groups were on places like Usenet and IRC. On Usenet, more characters meant more bandwidth for your posts which added up quite a bit if you were posting with a long siggy detailing your fursona, and bandwidth showed on your bill. On IRC, there weren't many spots you could shove it and support the length. The furcode was made for these communities to shove details about their fursonas.

Furries now are a retarded mess of stupid and do not compare to the older generations. The only reason a furry zoomer would use the furcode now is because it's all "quirky" and "unique" when it was only used before as a practical usecase for their communities.
