Lainchan and other imageboards are compromised

What is this site? Arbitrary deletions, strange bot-like staff behavior, other ridiculous behaviors. They recently deleted my near 2 year old thread (pic related) wiuth several hundred replies
https://archive.ph/6pfeZ after I said I suspected the site could be a largely bot maintained honeypot / social experiment.
I've been here since 2008, they don't learn to think no matter what you tell them. I think that most people are bots or so braindead they might as well be considered synthetic.
The thread I referenced went into those types of manipulation mechanisms, astroturfing, and so on. Anytrhing of any substance on Lainchan is deleted. Therefore I want to know WHAT it IS. What IS that site. Because it IS NOT what it purports to be.
Here it's a different story, but still not what it purports to be. In a different way.
Really just seems like engagement farming, and chan related traffic is actually relatively low. The only alternative is that the average person is so obscenely low quality that I have to consider them a different species.
/q/ is full of shit like this. They never responded to that poster, they never will. They can delete any post outside of /q/ pointing to a /q/ thread, but never bother to explain themselves in /q/ itself.
Another anon made a different thread asking where my other (many) long and detailed threads went, and that was full of silence for a time, then briefly the same slimy lying bullshit, then nothing.
How about the topic of bioelectromagnetics and magnetobiology, huh? Oh, no. Banned. That's pretty cyber right? Nope. Whole topic, banned. No discussion. No reply. Thread after thread deleted, people ask about it, no discussion, no reply.
This is another example of lying. Shit like this. It's like dealing with a bot on the phone. They don't comprehend anything you say and jsut loop the same dumbass reply over and over.
https://archive.4plebs.org/pol/search/image/S6jH4vUiVo_i1gf_RWuGIQ/ The chan and imageboard concepts are inherently compromised and severely flawed. I suspect 4chan was created as a parallel "hivemind" model to DARPA Lifelog (which became facebook). They were always intended to work together and to allow them to correlate and cross reference what groups say amidst each other and with anonymity.
On the chan conce4pt itself, many of us were basically tricked as children and teenagers. Strip away all the personal bullshit and you have something very simple. A platform where people are pseudo-anon to each other, but not the site's staff and anyone they give access to an interface to monitor such things. To an admin on the site, via your global poster ID which is tied to your IP, all of your posts across all threads on all boards would appear as one single thread. You could have people, or bots, monitoring things at this level and jumping in anywhere they want to nudge or apply stimulus, then monitor to see if there's a change in behavior down the line. Repeat as necessary. This is the fundamentals of cybernetics, modeling a system of feedback and control. Furthermore you could train an AI on individual posters and how they act with anonymity, you could gauge degree of influence and engagement by watching how many replies they get and how often their images are reposted, and so on. Botswarms could follow people around and either damp or amplify them.
All from a level of knowledge that is obscured from all other posters. Again, we are "anon" to each other, but not the site's staff. They can see it all, all of your posts across all boards, and who everyone is across threads. And all the while, we cannot. How is that anything other than a creepy and totally shit design? Lot of trust required.
My thread also:
I'm ambivalent regarding the moderation on lainchan. On one hand it sucks for the reasons you listed, on the other hand it is quite good as there is virtually no spam/cp crap/pol crap like most other imageboards out there.
That said, I especially hate how little transparent it is. On nanochan derived imageboards, the moderation log is public. Not only is it good to see what sort of things the mods delete, but it also allows one to see the replies they might have missed. On lambda+js, one can even continue the discussion as the threads are never really deleted (only CP and scams links and attachments get deleted).
>I suspect 4chan was created as a parallel "hivemind" model to DARPA Lifelog
This kinda talk is schizo. 4chan was created as a bit by a bunch of weeaboos from IRC. You can argue a thing is co-opted by various forces as it grows in popularity, but when you start weaving cabals into the history of things so deep that nothing had an organic origin, it de-credits the argument.
All public places that allow speech should be considered compromised. You should know this by now. If some fucker spins up a place where you can enter anything into a box and have it plastered up on a wall for everyone to see, you bet your ass that there's going to be some hidden strings being pulled SOMEWHERE.
The only true free places for online speech are locked down and private, as it's always been. Only a niche IRC channel with your buddies or a forum that simply requires a password to access are examples of places that are truly free. This cannot be denied.

everything starts grass roots. if it becomes popular, it gets co-opted. YES its not sane to think 4chan was an op from the start, but there are adults who weren't even alive before it became co-opted, so it might as well have always been from the start. Shit is so unbelievably fucked
What the actual fuck is this site even about? What's with the fucking banner at the top? Who thought it was a good idea to carve the name of a shitty altchan that's nowhere close to the anime it's parodying into their arm? ???? this shit
its almost as if lainchain isn't healthy for you
i can tell you from experience both professionally and personally that nobody on the other side of the computer gives a shit about some random guy posting on an imageboard (unless you are posting something illegal). the likelihood that they care enough to track you is so low that it approaches zero. think about this logically - it costs money to track people; implementation, maintenance, storage space, time. i dont care enough to spend money (and my time which is slowly ticking away) to track people i dont give a shit about (big companies do because they make money off tracking you, governments subpoena that data when they want to, court costs money, so companies comply)
some things are definitely a conspiracy, but generally speaking - occams razor is a good first choice when wondering "why" - same re: your "WHAT" about lainchan etc... its probably just an imageboard that the admin doesnt give much of a shit to spend time on anymore
its a good idea to take the internet a bit less personally. when it frustrates me, i like to take a step back and "reset" before taking another step forward. i think thats good practice for all interactions especially if you are autistic or paranoid.
anyways, yeah ive noticed Lainchan staff appear to be very "hands-off" on the front facing website. i have no clue what things are like behind the scenes (or if theres much going on there at all)
i dont understand how to do quotes on this site but an above reply said:

being an IB owner, when i see a weird schitzo post that appears unhinged i just go "what the fuck is this" - websites are the sum of their content, if large chunks of your websites content is not what you want it to be, then logically youd delete it if you wanted to bring things back to your intended theme. my first thought when i see unhinged shit is "i need to delete that"
i recently had this issue with some my little pony person posting on arisuchan.xyz and i had to explain to them that content wasnt wanted. it was sad. some people are fucked up. but, not everybody has time to explain before deleting user posted content on their website. and obviously, they dont have to.
if you have interesting things youd like to post on Lainchan you could try posting them on my site instead (we could use more content, especially engaging content)
https://arisuchan.xyz/
id be happy to talk about conspiracies or whatever with you (and i wont delete your posts without explaining why first ;] )
also, you seem like youre probably the person who wrote the "The Gentleperson's Guide To Forum Spies (spooks, feds, etc.)" - it was a bit repetitive and long winded, but interesting nonetheless
one thing im curious of though, is being tracked and everything being a honeypot or conspiracy to spy on us all the only things you talk about? if so you might just need professional help
i agree with the guy above me:
>Lainchan and all of its afailliates and everyone in the Painting is a secondary fan bubble containing people who just look at a few Lain screenshots and become sexually attracted to the main character because it looks like she's terminally online. That's it. They don't know anything more about the show.
except this part:
>This stupid faggot imageboaard and everything that surrounds it is a pure example of trying to turn a short form imageboard layout into a slow and thoughtful BBS
i think its possible, its just difficult to accomplish and not likely to last for long. back when i was in hs/college there used to be interesting threads on lainchan and arisuchan, but nothing lasts forever. non-shit imageboards are a dying breed.
personally, i blame the zoooooomers
inb4 inevitable internet fight emerges regarding lainchan pedophile ring
