>>3910
even better would that be a good idea

is there anything FTP can do that HTTP can't?

>>3912
do you even know what you are saying

>>3913
why wouldn't I?

In practice, Cyberix as .txt and FTP would be a digital hermitage, a return to the 1980s BBS or early FTP archive model.
An FTP site is illegible to Google, LLM scrapers, and normies. It's a walled garden requiring specific knowledge and intent to enter.
.txt files in directories are trivial to back up, mirror, and archive. The entire "forum" could be synced locally with rsync.

It would kill real-time conversation but immortalize long-form discussion. It becomes an asynchronous, archival-focused community. The "community" happens iin the XMPP/IRC channels and the FTP site is the published record.

that would be based

how does XMPP or IRC "kill real-time conversation"?

>>3932
Not what was said. It would kill real-time discussion on the forum (e.g. replying, then refreshing the page and seeing that someone replied to you a minute later and then immediately making a reply)

how about when you want to read this site while you're taking a shit? what if you want to post on the site while shitting?

unless your intention is to make the site le gay clubhouse where only 2 people even bother to look at the site per week this would probably be a bad idea. le minimalism for the sake of le minimalism is probably not a good idea

we are too small to take a hit like that

>>3954
Do you take your computer with you when taking a shit?
it sounds like a Foon poster trying to sabotage this fun idea
kys

going hermitage mode just to be quirky...

>>3983
hell yeah

who the fuck goes to take a shit and thinks "man, i wish i could read cyberix right now" while you are dropping turds

>>3990
i love shitting while using cyberix its so fuking goooood

cybershit

>>3925
why don't you test it out by making something like a text.cy-x.net subdomain?

>>4039
turdshit.cy-x.net

>>3990
me right now

the cyberix site could easily be usenet only and lose zero functionality

>>4078
then why are you here and not on Usenet?

>>4080
what a retarded question
