I had no formatting options active yet the formatting service took away what I had wrapped in

...brackets as if I had BBCode enabled! What an obnoxious bug. Looks like I'll be working on the site for a few minutes.

Does anyone actually use BBCode to format their posts? I only recall myself using Markdown and sometimes HTML for things that I don't know how to do in Markdown.

Does Cyberix *need* three different ways to format text? Do we need *more* ways to format text? Does having three or more ways to format text make us look "special" in a way?

if we follow that same logic, eventually we'll remove all the options and even the option to use this forum from an old browser ( >because I can't post from netsurf on plan9, lets just block all old browsers!! )
it's there for those who want to use it when writing articles, fix the bug if you can instead of trashing the option.

yeah i tried that, ended up reinstalling the entire forum, turns out they swapped out the old parser for some garbage they called 'enhanced formatting' that broke everything.
