ABOUT CYBERIX

Cyberix is an independent network for people who build, write, host, play, and think about computers. It opened to the public on June 7, 2025.

The network provides personal web space, a forum, live chat, and game servers. It is small and intends to stay independent.

PURPOSE

Cyberix is for work and conversation that people want to keep. This includes personal sites, technical projects, long discussions, game nights, experiments, and ordinary conversation.

The old-browser design is a practical limit, not a costume. The public site must remain usable without JavaScript and without expensive hardware. Current browsers receive the same site.

PRIVACY AND ACCESS

No advertising or third-party tracking is used.
No JavaScript is required for normal use.
Anonymous forum and chat participation is allowed.
Tor, VPN, and datacenter connections are not blocked only because of their network type.
Connection records and IP addresses may be retained for security, moderation, and service operation.

MODERATION

Do not spam, flood services, impersonate staff, or upload unlawful material. Use the report link beside a forum post when possible.

The site uses rate limits, and webchat attachments expire quickly. Staff can remove posts, lock discussions, and hide abusive traffic. Accounts are optional and do not require a public identity.

OPERATIONS

Cyberix is privately operated on rented infrastructure. Services are separated so that one failure does not have to take down the rest of the network. Game servers may pause or stop while empty.

Service is provided on a best-effort basis. Public posts and files may be removed when they break site rules, threaten the service, or create a legal obligation.

FIND YOUR WAY AROUND

Members have public pages and directories. Connect is where conversations happen, including the webchat. Games contains the playable servers. The Links page collects outside sites worth visiting.

Contact admin@cy-x.net for administration, private abuse reports, security issues, copyright notices, or other legal requests. The same address can be used as an XMPP address. Email delivery may be unreliable, so XMPP or the public chat is preferred for non-sensitive questions.
