Do you make any special coffee drinks at home? I've been thinking about getting into that, so far I've only made iced coffees which has saved me a bunch of money. Are homemade iced cappucinos as good as ones from restaurants? There is a whole world of homemade coffee drinks just waiting for me but I'm worried that it won't be as good as the stuff you can order when you're out. Maybe I just need to believe in my abilities, something the experts of /ck/ have no trouble doing. I also like the idea of controlling what goes into the drinks, like how much sugar and cream.

It kind of pisses me off that they are basically the same quality/quantity as places that are charging like $8. Only 2 local places are markedly better than what I am making now. It's worth it to try so you can know what's actually worth the money.
