Coffee prices going parabolic

It's so over coffeebros. I ran out of coffee a week ago but was waiting for a sale because it's already so expensive. It's never going to be affordable now.

Is it too late to become a teafag after all the disparaging things I've said about them?

It's all controlled because coffee producers want more money, there's no real good reason for the price hike.

t.anon from a country that produces coffee

So it's no different than RAM and SSDs, and those prices are still up like 600% and everyone in the industry is saying they won't come back down anytime soon.

Correct. Since the biggest coffee producers are in the third world, it's easy form a cartel and fuck up the price since there's no law against it, and even if it does, who cares, corruption is rampant and nobody cares as long as the right people are getting paid.

They did this on a small scale last year, they all stored tons of coffee to hike the prices and would sell everything after the price doubled or tripled (which it did), but someone got greedy and decided to sell before everybody else and it kinda blew the whole scam, but nobody got arrested because, you know, third world.

lmao
We've got 8lbs in the house right now and another pound on its way here from Amazon because it was cheap. I think your best hope now is to pray for a clearance or managers special and stock up then. I once found 46oz canisters of Bustelo for $8 each because the plastic tubs was slightly dented. That's not our preferred brand but for ~$2.78/lb, I figured it was worth it. And it was.
My wife uses the now-empty tubs as planters for various things, like the money trees in our front window. : )

Ramping up the domestic coffee will take at least a year. In the mean time there should be a coffee relief program to help the average family afford their daily brew, they could pay for it with the tariff revenues.

These nacro terrorist states that are weaponizing coffee need to be dealt with. What they're doing is super illegal.

Nigga, what did you think implementing tariffs on other countries would achieve? Of course those countries raised prices for things you import and can't produce in meaningful quantities yourselves. And you pay the tariffs on them, anyway.

The more they jack up the price, the more they have to pay us in tariffs.

Most of those South American coffee plantations were stolen from American companies. Perhaps its time they're returned to their rightful owners. Maduro could use some company in the slammer.

But that would be like saying the savanna is a forest because it has trees. The biggest "forest" would the the Atlantic forests in eastern brazil and they've been gone at a 95% rate for almost 200 years when they portuguese cut it down.
