Are we just suppose to sacrifice more and more of our limited resources for the so called technological singularity or AGI? Just for the fringe chance it will even make our live marginally better? But we can't even stop it because our economy is overly reliant on technological progress and financial investment in the field. So how is this any different from making offerings to the gods so we can have a good harvest?
