Veal cheeks. Shits crazy, I've never had anything more tender when braised. Second place is flank steak grilled.

Roasted pork tenderloin medium with a little pink for me. It's crazy that two pounds of that is less calories than one pound of beef ribeye (which I eat way more often since it's easier).

Why so people here pretend lamb is top tier? You have to heavily season this shit or it tastes like shit. Beef will always be supreme

I'm torn between chicken thigh and pork shoulder. Both are cheap, versatile, and flavorful, but they lean in slightly different directions. Might have to give the nod to chicken since I can think of fewer dishes it's not appropriate for.

Boston butt.
Mainly because I use it for all kinds of stuff. Taco meat, home made sausage, meat sauce, smoked BBQ, etc. The versatility of a cheap cut makes it shine.

If it's just favorite meat that is eaten alone with minimal processing (basic seasoning, cook, and serve)? Probably Rib Eye/Rib Roast. Best blend of fat and meat with nice texture and juiciness when prepared correctly, which is easy as hell to do. I ain't spend $17 a pound on it though, get fucked.

4chin is still heavily Americans. We don't associate "shrimp" with "piece of meat". We categorize seafood in a separate compartment.

Even so, I wouldn't say shrimp is my favorite. I sometimes get a tray of it at Costco, and it's barely-flavored protein that soaks up whatever flavorings you throw on it.

>India is the world's third-largest producer and the top exporter of whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) to the United States, accounting for approximately 40% of U.S. imports. The industry, centered in Andhra Pradesh, produced nearly 1 million metric tons annually, with exports peaking at over $5.7 billion in 2021.

>Additionally, the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch rates Indian farmed whiteleg shrimp as red (avoid) due to environmental and health management challenges.

>Recent trade dynamics have also shifted dramatically. In August 2025, the Trump administration imposed 50% tariffs on Indian shrimp to punish India’s purchase of Russian oil, causing severe financial strain on exporters. Despite this, Indian shrimp remained the largest single-country source of U.S. shrimp imports in January 2025, with exports rising 55.39% year-over-year, though the industry continues to face pressure from antidumping duties and competition from Ecuador.

I got food poisoning from shimps when I was a kid, and that was three days of shrimp flavoured puke, while spewing from both ends.
To this day I can't smell shrimps cooking without beginning to dry heave.
