hello gtards i bought this for nothing about a year ago, impulsively of course. atom n455 and 2 gigs of mem (upgraded), also has a ssd (made no speed difference). running mxlinux 32bit.
is there a better distro? do i just switch it back to win 7 starter? also… any desktop streaming clients that still work on 32 bit? like moonlight?

Was totally fucked too because he had so much gay bloatware on it I remember it would just run out of ram and freeze while it was swapping or whatever. I wouldn't recommend windows 7 I would go debian or arch or gentoo and do a minimalist install where you don't install bloated stuff. I used a thinkpad with like 2gb memory and I did it this way, system idle was like 220mb or something was pretty usable if you were hellbent on running it

btw, you should run amd64 linux instead of i686/32bit, I noticed that the 64bit versions of software actually run a bit faster. not very much faster, but, anything you can get is worth it on a system this slow.
