Google is prepackaged on every phone and browser. It provides you with a curated list of results instead of raw results related to your inquiry. Most people, as a result, are stuck inside of their Google-shaped cage and have absolutely no clue there's a world outside of the same 8 websites. That is why you will often find people making technologically impressive creations and managing entire projects on the same few social media platforms instead of on a specialized website dedicated to their craft.
