there's a stereotype that exists for a really long time that says roblox game are bad, all of them. and maybe part of it is true, if you'll go to the roblox front page you probably won't see a lot of good games, barely even.
that's because roblox promotes whatever generates more money, candy crush for example while not being a roblox game, is a massive money generator and it's addictive hence the massive player count, but it's a bad game.
there's a real lot of good games on roblox even if you don't notice it, prime examples in my opinion are: North Hills, Combat Initiation, PARRY!!, Bloodrush, Randomly Generated Droids, Block Tales, HOURS and the list could go on for really long.
some of these games could be even better than non roblox games. and each one of those games have good design, balancing, looks and everything. the only thing is those games barely have any players (Block Tales being the exception)
in my opinion people should stop judging games just because they're from roblox, because after all the developers of those games had poured their soul and had to invest time and sometimes money into their priceless game.
so now, maybe hop on roblox and check out some of the games i named? it wouldn't hurt
slutwithguts · 2025-06-27 06:31 [#115][report] roblox unfortunately is filled with games by children or for children and a lot of gems of games are buried within the slop. there are really well made games and it's a shame. i haven't actually heard of the other games, but block tales is probably one of my favourite games of all time as someone that primarily uses roblox for gaming lol. an rpg that i really enjoyed was pilgrammed; there are probably more well made rpg's out there but i havent played any other than pilgrammed so im satisfied with the quality however early game can be a bit boring. otherwise there are also many interesting horror games that i myself havent played cus im too scared but ive watched people play and seem pretty cool with effective use of horror elements. roblox is has many interesting and even good games that are unfortunately overlooked by children-targeted slop and the general stigma around it as a whole.

All of those old games are now long gone. The moderation has picked up on these games. I have tried looking through their APIs for some games but out of 50,000 games, I can only find 153 games. [Attachment1]

My point is, all of the old Roblox games I used to play long ago are no longer available for me to play because Roblox has purposely privated them all under bullshit reasons. Despite some games not being available to view on the site, they can still be downloaded through APIs. Roblox continues their campaign of destroying anything that is old and entire people's former identity. All for that money that can easily be fed to the normgroids that continue to destroy today's platform with their faggotry and poser mentality.
I will do anything to go back to 2013's Roblox, but Roblox makes it harder for me to do so. If they ever shutdown, all I wish is for them to make all of those games public for archiving.

If you put a game filled with deep mechanics that require thinking skills then i can guarantee you 99% of them will leave in the first one or two minutes of playtime, that is because a kid's attention span doesn't work the same as a more mature person's would. This, combined with the overconsumption of short form TikTok content fries their brain, probably in a permanent way.
That's why Roblox games tend to be bad, they're made for kids who cant wait a bit for something good, and they have predatory monetisation tactics to keep getting their game recommended. Thus, good games often tend to be overshadowed by the bad ones.
