How do these things lead to a superior web? You've taken some aspects of a version of the internet that was superior, and then claimed that they were the aspects that lead to it's superiority without any backing to this claim. The "old internet" had way more illegal content than the modern internet does. Do we know that this wasn't the reason for it's superiority?

A really bad example I can think of is Neocities LARPing as Geocities when they don't actually have the same beliefs or culture of Geocities, instead cargo culting the aesthetics and mannerisms of Geocities. I hear about people on Roblox dressing their avatar as a 2010 Roblox noob and doing the whole Retro Roblox aesthetic while still playing modern Roblox brainrot games. There are zoomers that are capable of rebuilding things, when they do though they bring the same desire for sanitization with them from the corporate internet. Frankly any real decentralization is going to be impossible without a broader cultural shift as the desire to censor and control language that zoomers have is dependent upon platforms that monitor everything. They cannot stand the idea of people using private chatrooms that might be using "edgy" language away from their ability to moderate, or maintaining personal sites where they can say whatever they want.
