White rice is superior for General Tso because the sauce is already overpowering. I also only drink water when I eat that dish.

Chinese slop sucks in rural Canada.
I would rather have this rn.
I have a striploin steak sitting at room temperature I'll just have to settle for that.

It's not white rice, you can see it's greyish, dense, and shiny from being soaked in oil. Actual white rice is matte, fluffy, and white.

My dad always told me you gotta ask for "ding" to get more chili's. "General tsos chicken ding" but I'm afraid to try it and offend the chink so I've just found a place where it comes like that anyway

It is dishonest and designed to influence stupid people

This. Adding more grease to a meal like that is unnecessary. I like steamed white rice if I'm having sticky sweet, salty, battered and deep-fried meat hunks. If I'm having JUST fried rice that's a different story.

"Ding" (丁) in Chinese menu terms typically means "diced" or "cubed," as in ji ding (diced chicken). Dishes like Kung Pao Chicken are often listed as Gong Bao Ji Ding. So "General Tso's chicken ding" is probably just interpreted as diced General Tso's chicken (or a similar stir-fry style with smaller pieces), not a secret code for extra spice.

Is op baiting us or does everyone else agree $9 for a single fast food meal is insane? I could make a week worth of stir fry for that.

It's not fast food. It's Chinese food from a restaurant that makes food to order and is owned by a Chinese family.

Found a new Chinese spot that makes everything from scratch and it's a world of difference. 4.9 stars which is exceptionally rare for Chinese takeout. They don't order frozen from the same distributor everyone else uses. Think I'll stop by again tonight
