Why is it impossible to have a thread about imageboard software (the technology)? It's always derailed with abloobloo but muh altchans are... le dead

Anyway what are your thoughts on "live posting" boards where other users can see you type? It might be fun to pair it with a TTS (yukkuri or one of those animal crossing soundboards)

I tried to use it but the report button was broken and the captcha system didn't load.
Even if they aren't problems there is basically no documentation at all. There's some to install it but not how to customise it or anything.
The only options are read the code to learn it yourself or pay the developer 60$ USD an hour for help.
That being said it doesn't seem that bad.

The idea here is if your over the target you move to a heavier chain and the effects get amplified disproportionially against the bots. Today once you got your warehouse full of phones with gpt and an ip rotator you can trivially do

The cost of flooding is the cost of posting, doing a million x is the same as doing 1x. This jams them up pow style

Above that you can burn like this guy

I am that anon and I'm sharing the secret alts I check. These are the sites I think have the most potential, and most of them has a userbase that either doesn't care or understands you need a constant influx of newfags to keep the site alive. (4*2)chan.moe would be my preference if there was activity outside the few niches that are actually active on that site.

Hashchans go with pluggable mod services that filter the one graph of posts. They can watch the mempool and flag before it hits the chain. It costs gas to fund a fresh wallet so sybilling has a cost as well. If they wish they can bake their own ui and include all the classic stuff and distrubute that with a sponsorship rail for their tribal in group.

No one is forcing them to implement shit? The site owners could simply run the boards on Tor.
Just fork it and allow anonymous contributions.

What about an anonymous site that isn't an imageboard/texboard?

Are imageboards the only type of website that allows people to talk about stuff anonymously?

All chans get your ip and fingerprints your browser to moderate the site btw, is it any worse than an account with a burner email?

The language of anonymous sites is already locked in, it doesn't matter how you present content, a sense of association will make it just as Tor-adjacent as we already are.

You could innovate on format. What if every user could only represent themselves with a 15 pixel sprite, for example?

>>24952
Forcing people to post with a tripcode can't be good, also it's useless because if you ban a tripcode to ban a user then the user can generate another one. With accounts you could maybe force them to verify an email or something elseso it's not as easy as getting another tripocode.
For this reason I don't think tripcodes can be used as accounts.

Anonymous posting with images sure that's the minimum

Monero doesnt like people using the tx_extra field for reasons similar to the bip-110 arguement and its deanonymizing functions. I was initially targeting an anonymity profile similar to here but with the ethereum crops mandate were getting private reads/writes and with focil there is forced block inclusion so block creators cant just forget about your tx. So with the vpn self node+tor with crops plus mixer your getting a very steep anonymity profile that is fully composible with other onchain primitives.

Havent looked at other privacy chains too deeply to see what the game plan is

I wanted to make a pure dapp though too, to show the world what a pure vision non compromising dapp looks like, so many scams out there many dont even know the full potential

I respect the vision and admittedly that makes sense why you'd decide to go with ETH in that case. There are some less popular but well established privacy coins I've been keeping track of because they could enable something very similar to your vision but with faster settlement, inherent anonymity and lower transactional costs but I don't think they're ready yet so again fair enough to go with ETH and have something real if imperfect vs something that might be perfect on paper but doesn't yet exist.

many altchans are private or semi-private meaning they only invited people taking their meds. that's fine too. probably best to have tens of thousands of tiny private communities than to attempt to fend off all the shills, glowies, astroturfers, AI tweedle-dee and AI tweedle-dumb in the Seychells. Quality over Quantitties.

no, that's not the issue here, that's a few clicks away.
the real issue is that people fear Tor because of the CP and other dirty shit. but there are solutions for that. the board could have crowd-sourced moderation. 4chan already has something like that.

Do you see how you can't type that site's name here? There are certain rules in place on 4chan that you have somehow never noticed, which ban posts that name competing sites. I'm glad it isn't possible to shill the one you're referring to, but perhaps you can figure out for yourself why it wouldn't be possible to send thousands of users all to the same website when you can't even name it. Especially since, let's face it, it probably wouldn't even be very good.
