Completely false nontech tourist answer. You can spin up a no logs no automatic-reporting-of-CSAM needed image board in a relevant jurisdiction (Japan is a great one, non nude but blatantly sexualized kids is legal to host permanently) in an hour. There is no "need" to keep logs. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Of course there's no need, just like how you can also kill people. As long as nobody finds out.

Once you get prosecuted you better have an airtight alibi though, and in the case of a website that means having enough logs.

They are but most are private or semi-private meaning they only invited known-knowns and excluded known-unknowns and unknown-unknowns.

I think it's doing OK given its just 15 of us site-wide and one self hosted AI 4chan-GPT. If that AI goes away all the daily posted threads on /g/ and a dozen other boards will vanish then I dont know what we will do.

nah the mods are glowniggers that prop up shitty bot garbage threads, they are the ones doing it or condoning it, i mean look at this shit

true they do some as well. but most of the threads started here daily are 4chan-gpt. after the site was hacked and then restored there was about 8 days of peaceful silence. It felt as comfy as all the other altchans. Then the bot from the Seychells came back on line....

Most boards are down to 2007 levels of posting, and every board has anywhere between 1-5 AI threads (/g/ probably has more) so actual real posting levels are probably far far worse. Additionally, the site has 5x bigger bump limits so threads now stay around for a week when in 2007 they'd last at most a day (the faster thread rotation made every board feel a lot faster than they are now).

It's plummeting. I've never seen so many necrobumps on /a/ before, for example. It's pretty sad but it's what ever. I'm sure I'll find another place to talk with you lot.

>since it's hard to tell 3 vindictive weirdos to stop acting like they own the place when there's 10 posts a day
this
There's some that are usable and have "decent" traffic, as long as you don't expect a catalog to completely roll over every 30 minutes, but the local denizens are absolutely brain-dead malcontent parrots stuck on repeat.
Like, imagine that guy that derails every /pol/ thread right from the jump by calling everyone a jew and doing nothing but spending 20 or 50 posts arguing with people. That's every altchan in a nutshell. It's just 5 or 10 or 20 people calling each other feds for like ten years.

The catalog sometimes takes a week or more to completely roll over on all but the biggest boards on 4chan. At least here on /g/ I can see threads lasting at least that long.

there is one called Gochan, made in Go. not sure if it's good now but it was kinda shitty when I tried it (many years ago). seemed overly complex for what it should have been...

amazing, I might try to extend this with pluggable mod services, a proper DAG structure and hotlink/ipfs pinning. to understand the cryptography from his old blog post if anything. If just to understand the cryptography if anything, i'm still unsure what uniqueness aztec will bring once ethereum completes its new roadmap.

That people know of. The vulns were known since 2012 and the site was unpatched since 2012. Likely left that way on purpose to buy time until they moved to Cloudflare so that usaid could continue to see information about visitors.

It was left that way on purpose because touching anything on the backend would require ton of testing and the site has half million posts per day and 1 tech guy handling it all who was busy combating bots instead.

Plus they also would need to update PHP and update all mysql calls which is a major problem when your site runs 2012 code.
