to me it signals "GOYSLOP WITH A BIBLES WORTH OF INGREDIENTS ON THE BACK", because that is WHAT IT IS
Whenever I see great value I see "this is going to taste like fake shit". Whenever I look at the back I see tons of garbage that shouldn't be in there. You can't possibly choose to eat this on purpose.

Great Value is a crapshoot, but mostly crap just like most other brands. I recommend their potato ships, which are $1.50 or $2 for 8 oz kettle cooked.

Walmart generic stuff is fine, their generic gnocchi is imported from Italy and has the same ingredients in the same order as the fancy $6 a pack stuff. At my local store - in the middle of nowhere - it's $1.29 a pack.

If you're buying name brand you're supporting globohomo twice - once through Walmart, and another time for the globohomo brand.

Economies of scale
Sam Walton's kids are all massive pieces of shit so I try to avoid Walmart, but the hash browns are dirt cheap and not bad at all flavorwise. The time savings from these is significant if you work for a living
