You hate the decadence of mainstream platforms, yet you are unwilling to put in the slightest effort to change the status quo.

>In the 90s and 2000-10s we had the traditional hackers who built up the majority of modern tech infrastructure in protocols most people now considered "dated".
>Okay, fair. Now, tell me, "most people", huh? Where are the hackers of the 2020s working now?
>Oh..
>[...]
>... You mean to tell me that the majority of software development is commandeered over [mainstream websites]?
>...That C autists also do this?
>...That the majority of video game modders also do this?
>...And that, it appears that the majority of programmers visible to the public appear to all be doing this even if it makes them look completely retarded to anyone who isn't on these centralized platforms?

A 17,000-word essay on the state of the internet is not "high quality". It is not original. Simply relying on "decentralized protocols" and an "anti-mainstream" attitude will never build a vibrant community. The true path forward lies in shedding ideological obsessions and actively embracing those "mainstream" people who are willing to create and build, and using that bridge to breathe new life into the web.

>Many altchans, modern forums, and generally most alternative spaces on the Internet have a very incorrect perception about what makes a space "Good",
>or, "high quality". They tend to be very rigid. They think words, words, and more words inherently equal quality 24/7.
>They acknowledge, welcome, and appreciate philosophy, but completely disregard and go against creativity, whether it's intentional or not.

Why do you think you deserve a "better Internet" if you aren't going to work for it? You reap what you sow.

I remember on a random darknet internet chatroom (now dead, RIP) there was this mod, "fish" and he would demand poems from people randomly. Post poem, or you get banned. On a darknet chatroom a ban means next to nothing, but it was fun. I wrote a lot of really crappy poems.

At the same time, I was using the internet to cover for my self-imposed social isolation. I was posting self-important crap all over every website I could find that accepted anonymous posters from tor. I even posted some stupid wigger lyrics in an obscure dev chatroom for software that manages Trusted Execution Environments.

Through all of this, I never allowed myself to put anything true to myself into my posts, because that would lock me out of being honest with someone in the future (on penalty of cross-correlation opsec failure) I didn't use the internet to try to make friends (le ULTIMATE opsec fail!!!!1!) I made a handful of good posts across hundreds. I didn't use the internet to appreciate what people could be or do or feel, I just used it to make my brain think "interacting with people! yay!" without going out of my comfort zone. Anyone could have made my posts, but they didn't. The pride in being publicly unremarkable, retarded when you have no private channel of excellence, How emotionally convenient that the superior way of the opsec prodigy is to be a corpse in suspended animation. You can be the most impregnable on the web and you never need to overcome what you are, to strive towards something new.

In short, we don't deserve you guys. My apologies on behalf of all the boring, broken, insecure losers who pathologically cope using your platforms. I hope your communities get some creative momentum.

Here's to getting an actual hobby.

Now if only I could stop drawing chimpanzees when I try to draw anime gorls...

> I was expecting, with Cyberix, to be a beacon of light that attracted those who sought refuge from the FAGMAN garden and the performative nostalgiafagging cognitive dissonance that has infected nearly every single "popular" old-alt tech space online. But what I have discovered in the process, is that, most of the people involved in these spaces apparently lack, or refuse to export their creativity for reasons unknown to me.

You have such boiling hatred for major companies (justified) that it bleeds into thinking that everyone sucks there, theres no creativity, everything is monetized and nothing interesting happens on there, which is not true at all. You just don't want to curate your feed, you can very easily do this. Start with fresh account, filter out posts you don't like and follow people you like. That's it. But you're not going to do that. There are still many people posting creative stuff on these platforms. But you have the neuron activation and go "big company bad, everyone on there bad, everyone sucks". So if you're confused why creative people didn't flock to this site it's because they already have a place that works, and you refuse to accept that, you just look at what the algorithm gives you and conclude that's all it is and refuse to do any work. People who are occupied with creative stuff aren't coming here and reading your essays about creativity and open internet, they're too busy doing stuff and sharing.
